Started out great

When I started in 2006 the company was small and the employees had a great sense of camaraderie. The work itself was sometimes high-quality and the staff had fun. But over time the place morphed.

Not a workplace you want to retire

The workplace is not engaging, every one is very uptight, and I did not feel like I belonged in the team. Although everyone's jobs were difficult and very fast-paced being in a news industry, there was no sense of appreciating each other nor a great culture

Worked the graveyard (6pm-2am) shift for two years, with little communication/contact with other departments/individuals... can become very drone-like at that point. Not great communication with low-level management, but the high level management is very attentive and responsive... when you can get in front of them.

My recollections of NBC were of a time when integrity and balance in news gathering were the watchword! The NBC of today is nothing more than a shill for a narrative! Balance is nowhere to be found! They are corrosive and destructive to much that is the America of our founding fathers! I am being nice!!

I had an internship there and I was thankful for the opportunity and experience. But I felt like a lot of limitations were placed on me. Supervisors didnt give me a lot of chances to really prove myself.

NBC has lost its mission. There are many good people there but it's no longer the powerhouse it was. Too many management turnovers and no clear direction from the top makes it a confusing and uninspiring place to work.

I would say this is a great place to work. Not stressful and relaxed as far as trouble occurring. Great people in general i got along with everyone. They immediately treated me like I've been there for years.
