Had learnt about the process of live editing, with managers being quite supportive in the process. The hardest part of the job for me personally was doing the work itself as football is not my concern. However I would definitely recommend this role for someone interested in sports. I wasn't offered venues or training to develop to a better employee. different culture compared to the one I worked for in the past, more obscure and not much is known about what the future had for us. Neulion has some great people to work with and a fantastic office but the salary and hours are incredibly low. 4-6 hr shifts, 1-3 times a week, 8.50/hr - do the maths for yourself. We were promised advancements and salary increase but that did not happen - instead we lost all the hours for holiday period because football has ended and teh remaining shifts are covered by senior editors only, so no shifts until Autumn. On zero hours contract but it's good as I am still studying at uni so basically I work when I want. Loads of shifts available on matchdays. I like it here. Offices are pretty cool too. Depending on what sport/shift you are doing/have can determine whether or not you have an easy and boring time or a challenging and possibly stressful time. The only real downside of the job is the hours. A Lot of the time you will be working nights late into the AM. At the same time they are good enough to provide you with free coffee and other drinks. This is an ok job with flexible hours and since you monitor and watch a lot of sporting events, this is best for a sports fan. This is especially good for those who want to work nights since they have available hours at that time. Flexible schedule.
