All staff walk on eggshells when it comes time to contract renewal since the board and administration will decide to not renew excellent teachers contracts. Then I begin the day checking email, setting up my classes with materials and putting things in order for the day. My assistant and I review our schedule and talk about the plan for the day. I then begin with the first class and continue throughout the day by having students in my classroom. I converse with co-workers throughout the day in case there is something I need to know about or take care of.
