The management team is always in contact with you, always. There's never any reason you shouldn't know what's going on. Just recently my house manager sent a group text to staff alerting everyone to impending inclement weather and asked us all to be safe and take extra time traveling to and from work. I've seldom seen teams of people more consistently respectful of clients and their families. The pay isn't stellar but let's be honest, most of north east ohio is subpar in that department for medical professionals and New Avenues is better than a lot of places. They're fair to staff's personal needs, I work two jobs and am constantly having to change my schedule for one need or another between them and they've yet to give me a hard time about it. They train hands on, per shift, per client. You will *always* know what's expected of you so long as you pay attention and do not assume you know everything. This company was poorly managed and the pay way low for the work you was expected to do. The best part of this job was the clients and staff. No one cares about the individuals or the employees. This company doesn’t care about the employees nor the individuals. They send them out the house in dirty clothes, then when we complain about how they look on outings they do nothing about it. Clients come in dirty, and smelling bad. when you try to tell management something is wrong it's overlooked. They hire anyone, including managers, who care nothing about the clients well being.
