The owner hates paying commission This is one of the most ungrateful organization that I have worked for. The owner lacks the ability to use the word thank you. You can give your blood time away from family and the owner just does not care. There are so many egos in the company it is a choke hold on its growth. Sales turn overs every 6-12 months like clockwork. However he will make you sign a contract that you will stay with the company for x amount of years if you do. It's also easy to skate by without anyone really knowing what's going on, since there's constant chaos about. Owner asks illegal questions during the interview process. There are a select few who are his privileged group. If you are not in that group, then good luck moving up. There is constant chaos in all aspects of the business and those in his privileged group have rights to do what they want. They cycle through employees rather regularly because of un-managed chaos. At one point I saw all level 3 techs take simultaneous vacations without any of them knowing it, while working a large implementation with one of their largest clients. This results in low resources and very outdated office supplies. The effectiveness of the employees suffers due to a low operational budget. - He is also convinced he is always right and gives very little allowance to his top managers to do what they specialize in because he is convinced his way is the only way. I would narrow it down to a lack of trust or narcissism. - The CEO has a very limited attention span and often flies off on tangents, he regularly misses or overbooks meetings, and he prioritizes his self-image over the wellbeing of the company operations. Not a day went by that I didn't hear someone say something behind his back because of how tired everyone is of his total lack of focus. - The various departments have a severe lack of communication. Sales doesn't communicate with marketing, operations doesn't communicate with sales. It seems like the lack of growth and stability in the company is due to the brash and unfocused personality of the CEO. I literally think that is what it comes down to. There are good people at the company, there really are, but the lack of communication between departments and the extreme lack of leadership at the top of the company makes it an organization I can't recommend unless the CEO steps down and hands the reigns to someone who can lead a company. Word has it that management is forcing employees to post positive reviews on here. This indicative of the less than honest "business methods". The company's senior leaderships is a good old boys club, and there is nothing to be done for it when the HR department is blinded by their own interests. Noone to complain to, noone to help when a problem comes up. The pay is abysmal, and you will be "Saved" at some point from a financial perspective. That will be held aginst you to keep you there.
