I repeat stay away

Haven’t even been working there a month.
Not good management... rude coworkers... only a few were actually sweet and kind... A LOT OF FAVORITISM... couple of shift leaders had rumors spread about me/falsely accusing me of things I didn’t do.
The manager because of this ended up cutting my hours without my knowledge which is wrong on a lot of levels... whenever I asked for help during training I was given the cold shoulder/they were very rude and disrespectful towards me.
Please do not apply here. You deserve to be respected and this place does not do that. Will never work/shop here again.

Call themselves "New Earth" and put on a good front but are more interested in making money then creating a new earth. They did several things while I worked there could have seriously put the health of their customers at risk

fair managment good place to work wish i could stay kind of a guilty pleasure but can be hit or miss. Sometimes you can find a ton of good bargains but occasionally you might walk out of there with just a couple of things.

Horrible management, employees treated unfairly

Typical day at work involved cashier duties, such as processing different type of payment in the exchange of items sold. Helping customers find and price items. Counting the till before and after each shift. Cleaning duties such as cleaning all registers and mopping floors as a closer.
I learned that customer service is extremely important, as well as knowing the store's products.
Management was terrible at this store. They don't train well, or give good advise.
Workplace culture was based on who you were related to at the store. They went by favoritism.
The hardest part of the job was dealing with the management.
The most enjoyable part of the job was dealing with customers, and providing best costumer service possible.

Bad Management, Person Vendettas, Dishonest with the Public

New Earth Market looks and seems promising. However the combination of being poorly managed, owned by a group that has never worked in the food or retail industry, and their love of hiring a combination of inexperienced or just plain dishonest staff creates the absolute worst work environment I've experienced in my 16-17 years in the workforce.
Beyond the daily issues of being dishonest with the public. They rely on general ignorance and let their consumers assume they are 100% organic, natural and made in-house... they are not. In fact over half the kitchen items come from premade mixes from sysco.
The owners have created an interesting dynamic within the management and leads, where they blame each other or their suboordinates for fear of getting fired. In the 2+ years I worked there I saw over 200 employees come and go, on a staff of about 35-45 people at any given time. The turn-over alone should be telling.
The only positive about the job: The discount. The coffee bar is great, and the only place that has decent coffee in the area. The beer selection is second to none in the area. I love the idea of having a locally owned, 'mostly'-natural, semi-organic store in the area and which it was owned and managed by the proper people.
