Rigorous programs that are well-ranked by US News and students that WANT to learn. Has won all kinds of awards (Brandon Hall, LEAD, etc.) even with a very limited resources. Not a good fit for everyone...if you want a cushy "traditional" faculty job where you get summers off and sabbaticals, this isn't for you. The culture of NECB is that of collaboration and open communication. We all work together to make this small online college a big contender in the saturated New England market. Each member of the college wears many hats on the day to day, and we are never bored! Our constant is change and we prove time and time again that we are agile and constantly student centric. Online programs are designed in-house by the College's award-winning instructional design team, subject matter experts and faculty to ensure the curriculum is engaging, business relevant and positions students for success in the workplace. The College has only about 60 full-time employees, but has about 90 adjunct faculty members most of whom are business professionals and bring real world experience to the virtual classroom. Employees all seem to buy-in on the College's mission to provide high quality, business relevant degrees (at the undergraduate and graduate levels) at an affordable tuition. Due to the relatively small number of employees, the work environment is very fast-paced and many employees have varied responsibilities and serve on one or more functional committees. College leadership recognizes the hard work of the staff and faculty and permit all employees to work partially from home each week. Employee salaries seem to be competitive but, due to its commitment to keep tuition low, the College doesn't provide employee raises every year. (There was a salary increase in January 2018 though.) The College offers great programs but is not very well known in the crowded education market due to its limited budget for marketing and advertising.
