There are great people who are incredibly dedicated to the success of the college, who will work very hard as well. The flexibility was amazing. You have the option (of course you must clear this with your supervisor) to work from home or in the office. The pay was great and the benefits were also very good. Mostly adjuncts teaching the courses. In downtown Boston. Quiet office - no one was there most of the time. In the end, my decision to leave was based on a toxic environment. There was no hope of being able to change things that we felt needed to be addressed and simply had to accept that it is what it is and the stakeholders get what they want. That type of attitude doesn't fit well with me and I felt that my skills would be served better elsewhere.
