NHDP was by far the most sexist and bigoted place I've ever worked; I once walked into a room at the office just to have a coworker tell me, "sorry, this room is guys only" (I'm a woman). I had a friend who was constantly misgendered, and I knew other staff who were sexually harassed by coworkers. I was also told that I couldn't take a religious holiday off work. Management was very unsupportive, and when I reported these issues I didn't feel that they did enough to address them. When I didn't meet my goals I was just told to "be more aggressive" in recruiting volunteers, rather than being given any actual training, advice, or support. I spent over a month trying to sign up for health insurance through NHDP, and for some reason the portal just wasn't working for me, and no one fixed the problem even though I brought it up many times.
