private:newpartners-2 https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1031242 May 25th, 2018 12:00AM Open Open New Partners Consulting Washington, DC Intern -Convenient access to Metro and restaurants -Can get a broad range of experiences doing various projects -People were generally polite, but not overly welcome -I specifically asked if interns needed to be available for overtime due to the where we were in the election cycle but was told we were not (and that was true while I was there). -Internship was very much grunt work (data entry, filing, editing) and not much in hands on experience. -Open office (at least, while I was there) was awful. There were days when it was relatively quiet but at it's worst you had people shouting across the office and/or constantly walking around while on the phone. -Internship actually misrepresented to me and neglected to mention in the original ad or in the interview that front desk work was required. I had some interesting assignments and learned a lot by listening to people talk about their work and observing. The office subleases space to other smaller firms so I got to meet them as well. Sometimes I don't have much work to do.
