Because nGenera was a startup that was conceived at the top of the last tech bubble, there were a lot of money struggles, and management often went after the wrong resources with large sums of money at the expense of solid, proven resources. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 4.5 0.0 3.5 4.5 4.0 159523 Open Make sure that you have a strong direction, and that you have the staff to support that vision. Freedom to work at home during days you can't make it to the office. Poor documentation in codebase. Made it hard to accomplish tasks assigned to you. It's also very hard to find help as most of the other engineers are too busy to help. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 1.0 1.0 1.0 0.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 159523 Open Branch out and stop copying other technologies. private:ngeneracorporation-2 https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=159523 Nov 18th, 2008 12:00AM Open Open nGenera Worker Bee Austin, TX Next Generation company with old style methods The company grew very fast via acquisitions. The people that came with the acquisitions are great to work with. It's hard to come up with other "best" reasons. I guess if you are a member of a select group you will have good reasons to stay there. As an employee you are in the dark on how the company is really doing and the overall direction. Too diversified and the company is lacking a good strategic steady direction. No training or clear career advancement. Typical corporate america. Benefits are not up to par with industry. -1.0 NEGATIVE 2.0 1.0 4.0 0.0 2.0 2.5 2.0 159523 Open openess. need good thorough analysis of future acquisitions and alignment to overall strategy 0.0 [] No No 0.0 Mar 25th, 2021 09:14PM Mar 25th, 2021 09:14PM nGenera Corporation
