Micro-management, vague leadership and understaffed operations. If you're looking for a company to start your working journey, please do not pick this. You will not get the mentoring that you want, you may also get a very unfair contract. Please do be careful and read your contract!
If you're experienced, why would you want to come here? There are no better benefits you could get from this company while piling on stress. It's not really agency life 'busy' stress, but stress from poor management - which is worse.
There's no growth opportunity - you simply get piled on more and more work without reward, and have to put up with a nitpicking, irritable, hypocritical and arrogant boss.
Also, if you're new to this field: 2 months resignation notice is far, far too long for a fresh entry-level executive. 1 month is standard, 3 months is for managers. You can make of that what you will. 6 months' probation is also far too long and is mainly an excuse to pay you (a few hundred) less your 'actual' pay (not that you will be given your requested salary often). Payments have also been delayed before, and the excuse of 'not enough money' will be given to justify continuing to pay you the probation amount. This is a company that has lasted over 10 years. If it can't afford the difference in a couple hundred dollars and has to resort to cutting down on the one thing it needs the most to function (manpower), then this is obviously a sinking ship you should not climb aboard on.

If there is time to write a 4-5 star review in 'differing tones' for every genuine 1-star review here, there should be time to give a proper guideline to whoever's joining the company. Set up proper SOPs so that there is less confusion and flailing if you truly want the company to grow. Right now, everyone is simply doing things the way they think it should work. This isn't a company, or an agency, or even a start-up team. This is a group of freelancers being given next to no information and told to produce 'non-generic' content.
Also, if you don't give proper direction to newcomers, you should stop shooting ideas down when they give them. If you already have ideas in your head, share so that time isn't wasted.

Your writing gives it away. Every glowing review here is written exactly the same way and everyone who's worked at NC is utterly familiar with that style because it's yours and we've seen enough of it at our time there.
Not only is it uninspired, it is also insincere and dishonest. And because you micromanage your creatives and serve as the final hurdle that prevents good writing from happening, this is the kind of work NC puts out - insincere, dishonest tripe.
this is what causes your upset clients. You're producing content for brands that both consumers and their marketing teams can identify as tired, uninspired nonsense.

A book recommendation for when you quit, which will be pretty soon.

Your suffering will be short-lived. Because nobody in their right minds will stay for long, not under the "leadership" (read: micromanagement and disrespect) from that legendary psycho boss. Like what other reviews have said, every other job I've had ever is better in comparison. Excellent for character building and expectation management. And yes, for some reason, you get really great colleagues.
As promised: When you leave, you can go buy the children's book titled "The Day the Crayons Quit ". I found it a really cathartic read, and after a few jobs, you'll be able to laugh at the absurdity of the experience. Life will go on.

If I feel the need to post here after 3 years from when I quit, just to push down the false 5* reviews that the said psycho boss wrote, it must have been a pretty terrible experience, isn't it? Also, the company is perpetually short-handed, because nobody wants to stay and work for the psycho. Can confirm all the nightmare stories shared in the other negative comments are true.
