The CEO has done very little to shape the company internally. The people at nWay (Art, Design, Engineering, Production, Marketing, Biz Dev and QA) who work directly on the development of the game are some of the most talented and dedicated individuals I've worked with. The Engineering and QA teams are some of the hardest working people in the gaming industry. This is not a review from a former disgruntled employee, it is a transparent review of what it is actually like to work here. I wish I had honest reviews to read before I accepted a position here. The founder don't genuinely care about creating a culture that embodies honest and transparent communication, gratitude and appreciation, empowering people to make fearless decisions so they can have ownership in their jobs. If you want a company that lives by "doing the right thing" across the board, this is NOT the place for you. Core values are created as a tool to justify strategic and political moves within the company, and therefore there is no to little buy in from anyone. There is a lot of talk about becoming a company with a world class culture, but no showing on their part. If your core values ARE in line with those listed on the job listing for nWay, this is NOT that place for you. If you want to feel fairly treated, this is NOT the place for you. If you are non-Korean, not willing to work 24/7 or strong female, you will not fit in here. You will be called a "conspiracy theorist" or have your job changed on a whim without any communication or justification. Current company culture is extremely toxic and I don't see that changing anytime soon. If you are someone who likes to have ownership over your work, cherishes work-life balance and the ability to unplug, wants to feel appreciated for the work you do, needs honest and transparent internal communication, likes proactive vs reactive decision making, or desires a positive working environment, this is NOT the place for you. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 12.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 716674 Open Take the time to ask people putting in their notice WHY they are really leaving rather than ignoring it. If you continue to do nothing, then you honestly don't care about making nWay a better place for the team that is still there. Take time everyday to make connections with the team still there and let them know that you appreciate everything they are sacrificing for the company. A verbal thank you and 2 minute check in goes a long way. If you are going to talk the talk, walk the walk. Live everyday by the core values that you have created. Be honest and transparent- all the time, not just when it benefits you. Give people the ability to be fearless and make decisions, you hired an experienced and talented group of department heads for a reason. Welcome all feedback- not just just feedback you want to hear. If you want to really create a world class culture, create a safe space for people to be honest without fear that they will be retaliated against, and really hear your team. Then then action on the feedback that you get- don't just ignore it. This is the only way that the team will begin to trust you. You need to be open to change, constant change- that is the only way things will get better. If TK and Tony have read this far, that is better than nothing. If your attitude is anything other than feeling like you have welcomed constructive honest feedback (and that you are going to turn it into productive changes for the company), then you shouldn't be running this company. Your duty as CEO and President of a company is to do what is in the best interest of the company. Management team doesn't respect employees and they don't even want to listen to different voices 2. The company doesn't recognize people's values. When people gave notice for quitting, they don't even bother asking why 3. The org structure is extremely weird,no R&R at all. 4. No reward for hard working people (except for few), no penalty if bad things happen (this could be pro?) 5. Management team treats people like working machine and is proud of people working over 12 hrs a day without having weekends 6. Hiring seems like solution to everything in management team's eyes 7. Unfair treatment for different people, depending on how close you are to the CEO 8. Poor benefit/PTO, doesn't encourage WFH 9. Once a time work life balance was encouraged, but turned out to be no support from upper level 10.
