The fundamental problem is that NZX is unable to hold on to its best staff because the pay is well below market and there are limited opportunities for progression.
As a result of the high turnover, NZX is constantly hiring and retraining, never able to grow. Pay people more, promote high performers to keep them. It will save money in the long run.
Some teams were "restructured" annually with no tangible benefit. Affected staff were never consulted and it is terrible for morale. Change doesn't equate to growth.
