Everyone here is hardworking, kind, organized, and just a pleasure to work with. My co-workers were curious people who frequently offered up new ideas to consider. Working on these products was a tremendous opportunity to grow my skills across the stack and beyond, from feature development and dev-ops to product management and business analysis.
As an engineer, you have a lot of autonomy to make decisions you believe are best for long-term success. Personally I don’t think I’ve ever worked with a better-maintained codebase. The engineers care a lot about maintainability, and have set up truly successful systems that make development and deployment relatively painless. This allowed us to build features very quickly and address any tech debt early. We practiced industry best practices like iterative development cycles, weekly retrospectives, daily code reviews, robust automated testing and deployment pipelines, and helpful documentation.

As part of a very small product/engineering team, you'll wear many hats and do a lot of product management. If you’re averse to doing other things besides coding all day, it’s probably not the right fit for you.

The technical team at OfficeLuv is big on learning and mentorship, and as a software developer, it was a great opportunity for me to grow my skills. I learned varied approaches to architecture; built features in completely new technologies; conducted user research; and operated within a team that trusted me to take ownership over my work. It's one of the best teams I've worked on.
OfficeLuv also has a strong culture of collaboration. Whether it was tapping someone in sales to give feedback about our users or accessing our marketing lead to fine-tune copy in the product, I always felt comfortable working across departments to deliver the best product possible. There's always an ongoing dialogue about interesting articles and new ideas, and people at the company are regularly contributing creative, thoughtful suggestions.

Seem to have a good work environment and a nice culture. Also, no uniforms, and technologically advanced.

I was hired and then "put on hold" waiting for positions to open up. However in the coming days, I found that I had to contact all the management for updates regarding my employment status, and eventually I never heard from them again. I contacted them recently in regards to the position and someone by the name of Jake informed me that New York City is no longer hiring in any positions at this time.
I find that it's really unprofessional that they waste potential employees times when they are so unorganized. There's also a lack of professionalism there in regards to contacting their employees regarding matters of importance. I have never seen anything like this in my employable life.
