Most of the time I enjoy going to work. We are on 12 hrs and that’s ok most of the time. I’ve been there for 12 yrs. My department can’t seem to keep a supervisor or manager. You never have anyone to go talk to about anything. When the person come there to work usually a good person that try’s hard, but doesn’t stay very long and we don’t know why. Come and be your own Judgment!! Food is very high and most of the time empty Very nasty bathroom. The pay for what you do and the benefits package are outstanding! However, excessive turnover in mgmt has caused a lot of unnecessary stress on floor workers and during the pandemic we feel like we went from essential to expendable. Union benefits I loved working for this company! In QC the work is much more related to numbers you are after all cutting fiber optic spools for sale. There are multiple testing stations. Prooftesting, Hi Res, OTDR, optical and geometry they don’t tell you much about what exactly you are looking for but you will come to know it’s can be difficult Ulta to get good at this quickly and it requisite very quick small hand movements like stripping and cleaning piece a of fiber I also worked in Deaw loading towers and bating off that was a great job and a very interesting department where the team will make absolutely sure you know what you are doing before letting you work alone All around a great company with union support! If you are thinking of going to work at OFS Carrollton Cable, find people who are working there on LinkedIn and ask what it is really like. They have losses 1/2 of their good management staff in the last six months. They were helpful and available when needed. Flexibile with scheduling. No micromanaging. Good pay. Great benefits package...the best I've seen. Lots of PTO.
