Great Company, Great People
A company that really cares about their employees. I have been so supported through my carreer growth at Onboard. They like to see their employees succeed and grow interally!
For those who work in the RSA division - there can be higher turnover due to employees avoiding calls and not doing the work they should be. Other than that, it is a great company and great environment.

Selling the best product in the market is for sure a pro. The sales team is amazingly helpful. It is a supportive fun group to work with
Unlimited PTO, is a con because as a salesperson, every time you take off that ultimately impacts your pay, yet it doesn't impact other departments who aren't on commission so they will take off whenever they want regardless if it is our busiest time of the year when we need those resources to sell.

Be more collaborative with the front-line workers, those who are speaking to the prospects and customers on a daily basis. There is a lot that gets lost in translation as it goes up the chain of command.

Great Product, Great Team, Out of Touch Leadership
- The growth of the company has been amazing - Flexible working environment - Great Team
- OnBoard took a major investment and since then it has been profits over everything - Leadership is completely top down with little room for idea sharing and discussion from the individual contributors - Leadership is unaware of day to day realities of departments and consistently make uniformed decisions - Persistent issues within the Product and Departments that go unaddressed - Had a layoff either this year and asked others to take on additional responsibility without any additional pay - You can tell C Suite is wanting to be bought out and receive a payout

Take care of your employees, because currently the job market is hard but it won’t always be. Resting on the laurels of the product success and choosing to ignore the everyday people making it successful (sometimes despite leadership’s misguided ideas) will lead to mass employee turnover.

Chaotic
OnBoard has been pushing boundaries and expanding services, which is, of course, a testament to the company's growth and vision. The people I work with are all great. Intelligence and dedication is not lacking.
Now that the dust has settled from the JMI investment, the pressure on the existing workforce has reached unprecedented levels. The expectation to achieve more (and more, and more, and more) with the same resources is a constant presence. It never ends. It feels like we're running in a perpetual marathon, and burnout has continued to be a prevalent topic of discussion for the individual contributors at OnBoard. While the company touts its dedication to work-life balance, reality often paints a different picture. We're not robots, we're humans. Us individual contributors are being abused. Upper management is either not seeing it, or is turning a blind eye to it. Also, despite the relentless effort and dedication, the compensation packages haven't kept pace with the company's growth ambitions or the industry standards (even though they keep telling us that they're very competitive in the market).

It's a mixed bag experience that could significantly improve with more attention to both employee well-being and fair compensation in these times of expansion and persistant inflation.

Misleading pay structure & lack of advancement opportunities
Flexible work arrangements, remote work options, and a above average work-life balance, and pretty good benefits.
They have been purchased by the private equity firm JMI Equity. Their focus clearly seems to be on generating high returns within a short period. As a result, this has lead to a prioritization of short-term profits over long-term sustainability and development. SDR being the most entry level position for onboard, JMI’s strategy becomes apparent as you are offered an extremely low compensation package for the role that consist of a 40k Base and 50k OTE. While you do receive inbound leads, your lead quantity is completely dependent upon the vertical you are place in. That said, certain industries will not have to make an outbound call and exceed their quota while other verticals struggle to come close. Lastly, there is virtually no career development and a lack of transparency from leadership. Also, There are limited opportunities for advancement within the company as you are working in a overpopulated department in an entry level position. If you seek new challenges and chances to develop your skills, these opportunities are lacking, and I would look for them elsewhere.
