I was given the amazing opportunity of becoming apart of the Onstage family and even through the chaos of 2020 they have remained loyal to helping me succeed here. I have had the fortunate opportunity to learn, grow and pivot quickly in the midst of Covid which has taught me so much in a very short amount of time that I wouldn't have learned otherwise. There is no where else I'd rather be. It truly is a family environment and with most jobs and industries it has it's pros and cons. Hours in this industry can be long, yes, but I grew up in it and when you are passionate about something it doesn't feel like work. Other industries I've been in also have very long, arduous hours and I used to count the hours until I could go home. Not in this field. Passion is a must and it's all around me here. I'm surrounded by hard-working, motivated individuals that are not only passionate but experienced and highly knowledgeable in their fields. I couldn't be more grateful to be apart of this team. That in itself creates a fantastic culture and even when things are stressful the positives outweigh the negatives by far. I'm motivated here everyday to learn something new, attain new skills, and be a better version of myself.

I loved working for Onstage. From the first day to the last, there was always something new, and the industry of entertainment is really cool to work in if you are a kid at heart and enjoy playing and having fun at your job.
The people at Onstage are a family, and of course families have disagreements, but everyone gets along great and are also professional to get the job done.
I enjoyed my role at this company, and I would encourage adventurous people who like working events to work here. If you're extra wild, be a stage hand, but that's the roughest work possible.

Small company, big shows
|
Onstage systems has been a family business for quite some time, and still has that atmosphere about it. Working there was challenging at first, make no mistake there's a lot of grunt work to be had. But, their market is primarily focused in EDM shows, which leads to a lot of opportunity for creative expression and experimentation if you're an operator on a show. This company is an easy way to get a degree of experience up front.

Over worked under paid
|
It's a great place to get your feet in the water if you really want to go somewhere in the AVL industry lots of great teachers but there's no time or room for advancement, very stressful,and you're entirely under paid for the job you perform.

Poor management but very fun events to set up and tear down audio and visual equipment. Great people to work side by side with but poor management all around. It was primarily a staging company with that being said very strong and rough around the edges were most of the people that worked there.
