There is a real family feel to the company passed down from management. I have been there for over 4 years and have no plans to leave. If you work hard, it is recognised and appreciated. Great to work for I have worked in John Lewis as an Orbitsound sales consultant for 10 months. I highly recommend this job to anyone of any age. I started when I was 18 as a shy teenager who could barely speak to anyone. Since then I got the job after an okay couple of interviews I have gained so much confidence as a person in general, to the point where I speak to anybody and immediately become their best friend. I probably have to thank to my manager for this. Management aren't like the stereotypical bosses most companies have. They empower you to treat it like your own business, they endorse creativity and encourage you to try new things. Even if you have a string of failures week after week, they don't give up on you; they build you up, fill you with confidence and do anything to help you at anytime of the day or week. Until eventually, you do start to perform. Then you reap the rewards of a fantastic commission structure. The managing director once said "this job isn't about selling soundbars; it's about having a positive outlook on life and overcoming obstacles and anything that comes your way." If you want to run your own business, build great relationships, develop valuable life skills whilst having fun at work, this is the job for you. Even though I'm doing one of the most time consuming courses at university it fits well around it. Make new friends, eat great food, listen to music and watch movie trailers all day!
