They don't follow their own published pay scale. Upper management is not qualified and does not support store management. Not able to schedule enough staff to complete tasks.

I’ve worked here since the set up of the store, management has always worked great with my crazy schedule and been very flexible with me, we all work together pretty well. Every job with have its pros and cons and it’s all about how the team deals with it and moves on- your job is what you make it.

Relaxed place of business
|
By that I mean our customer base is mostly farners/ranchers in a rural area.
These customers are "regulars" same days of the week around the same time every week and many daily and several times a day.
This gives our store a more personal feel both for employees and customers. It's not like other stores where customers are hearded through like cattle. Our customers require a lot of personal assistance and we truly attempt to help them. These people are dealing with sick animals or broken fences or broken tractors and are often in a hurry and unsure of exactly what they need.
This leads to a relaxed atmosphere except for stress in trying to accommodate.

Work place was productive but could be fun when it wasn’t time to work

Employees were thrown into a part of the the store that they had no experience in. The main manager was extremely picky about the back room. If it wasn’t straight we Would stayed at work later than necessary

Don’t waste your time

With little to no career advance it’s not worth. Pay sucks. Even for management. You will feel disconnected from the company you work for and may even feel some sort of distaste for company practices. A few years ago we had a workplace injury that was at no fault of anyone. Just wrong place one time sort of incident. The employee was bleeding at an alarming rate and the manager at that time was trying to force the employee to fill out paperwork before the ambulance could take the employee. More recently, a new district manager arrives and starts bullying managers. I am assuming he is trying to establish some sort of authority. He starts pushing one manager in particular pretty hard. He eventually pushes this store manager out and within the same day hires one of his friends. These two examples are to show the quality of this workplace had not gotten better over time. I would argue it has gotten worse.
