The seriously lack transparency and accuracy when communicating with staff and their hiring needs. You are told you are going to be working in one position, but come to find out your position entails something totally different. They need to do better at being true to the way they market themselves both in person and online. The way they describe themselves is totally different once you enter into the agency. Certain members of the HR team also have poor communication skills and do not represent the company in a positive way. If you want to improve, start here. But, if you find the right team for your skill set and passions, and have good co-workers things will get better, but the start is very rocky and disappointing. private:osbornbarr https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=21275 Feb 9th, 2018 12:00AM Open Open Osborn & Barr Excellent Way to Get Your Foot in the Door - Provides interns with a structured program in which they are given a fair amount of work and responsibility - Full-time employees are welcoming and receptive to questions/helping interns grow - Facilitates a true team environment in which interns work closely together, and feel like they are part of the agency (including inviting them to happy hours/other events outside the workplace) - Getting paired with a mentor is very helpful to "learn the ropes," especially if this is a first-time agency experience - Gain exposure to (nearly) all facets of an advertising agency - Freedom to work on projects that interest you as well as work both individually and as a group - You feel like they actually care about you, your experience, and your success - Not the most exciting clients (unless you're truly interested in agriculture, in which case this is the place for you) - Sometimes work can be monotonous - Really not that many cons come to mind... 0.0 4.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 21275 Open Keep doing what you're doing! What a hell hole. Every year during the holidays you can expect layoffs. In 2017 employees who had been with the agency for 5+ years each were suddenly laid off with no warning. Food and fun little happy hours for everyone that works their lives away on little pay. Typical agency. Expect lay offs to happen often. Reorganizations are also a yearly event. Typical agency that might be more unstable than others. If you're hired they will offer you a pathetic starting salary. Associates don't expect anything over $30k a year. Good luck buying food or paying your student loans. I love everyone in my office and we have the right amount of work and play during business hours. I could not imagine a more collaborative environment to work in. There are always snacks in the kitchen, I get three weeks of PTO and I have a tremendous amount of support and training from professionals who have been with this company for many years. There are none.
