Overbury Enterprises is situated in & around the beautiful and busy villages of Overbury and Conderton on the southern slopes of Bredon Hill in the Cotswold AONB. The Martin, Holland-Martin and now Bossom family have been at Overbury for nearly 300 years. Penelope Bossom (the Managing Partner) is the 8th generation.
The teams from Overbury Estate & Overbury Farms joined together after a restructure of the businesses in April 2016 to form the family partnership of Overbury Enterprises. The central UK location & close proximity of good transport links of motorway, rail and airports, ensure it lives up to being “on the way to everywhere”. The good education & childcare facilities of Overbury Church of England First School (with a new hall & kitchen extension in 2014) & Overbury Grasshoppers Day Nursery, support local families and business employees. A range of top quality independent schools & colleges of Cheltenham and Malvern are nearby. The Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) high-speed internet network, installed in 2012, encourages a vibrant business community.
The farming operation is a LEAF Demonstration Farm 1,565 hectares accredited with LEAF Marque status and managed by Jake Freestone. Overbury has been early adopters of soil mapping, precision farming and drone imagery analytics. From 2014, as much of the farming operation as possible, has been using zero-tillage with sustainable agriculture. They were chosen to be part of the UK’s Agri-EPI Centre satellite farms project (Agricultural Engineering Precision Innovation) and are involved in several Agri-tech projects. There are property maintenance, forestry, gardening, lettings and shared workspace arms of the business. They offer a variety of local services - the office team providing property maintenance and management services to the area and the farming and gardening contracting businesses are expanding locally.

The farming operation, mainly arable with sheep, is managed by Jake Freestone. It is a LEAF Demonstration Farm, of 1,565 hectares accredited with LEAF Marque status and a member of NIAB TAG (through Kellogg’s Origins). Overbury have been early adopters of soil mapping, precision farming and drone imagery analytics. From 2014, as much of the farming operation as possible, has been using zero-tillage with sustainable agriculture. In 2017 they were chosen to be part of the UK’s Agri-EPI Centre satellite farms project (Agricultural Engineering Precision Innovation) and are involved in several Agri-tech projects. In 2017 a new grain handling & storage provision has been built. Their local agricultural contracting business is growing including services such as cross slot drilling and hedge cutting.
Michelle Boliver manages the property maintenance, forestry, gardening, lettings and shared workspace arm of the business. The aim is to offer a fabulous service to the community making it “a great place to live and work”. The various teams offer a variety of local services - joinery making and renovating a wide range of bespoke doors, windows and gates, the office team providing property maintenance and management services to the area and the farming and gardening contracting businesses are growing locally.
In 2012 Overbury Communications’ super fast fibre optic network was taken through the farmland into businesses and homes. The network will continue to be expanded round the area. This exciting addition for residents and businesses takes away the constraints of relying on standard rural communications.
