Management is very disorganized. Not enough people to help for care or Med Techs and getting overworked and under paid. There are no Nurses at this facility because they went somewhere else. Most employees are or have already quit because of the way they have been treated. Promises they don’t and can’t keep. If you don’t have time to take your lunch they take it out anyway.

-a typical day consists of answering/directing phone calls
-organizing mail
-filing proper paperwork
-I learned plenty from residents (lives, experiences, etc)
-Best part about my job is getting to know the residents and being able to place a smile on their face with even the smallest detail

Pacifica Is A Good Company For The Most Part

Pacifica is clearly a great place to work, from the business specialist to the executive director, nurses, caregivers, housekeepers AND kitchen workers, the work culture is what keeps me eager to come to work. The pay rate is what could use some help; "directors" get the lion's share of the pay, others, outside of them, nothing much, very minimum wage. Also, the advancement opportunities are not really there, as they're already cemented with the chosen "directors". Nevertheless, it is easy to make a career at Pacifica, just do your job, complete your tasks, stay humble, be dependable, courteous and you can ride a very long career. Dental, visual and medical are the benefits, paid vacation, sick pay AND frequent grub.

Very fulfilling job

If you like to stay busy, and are not just looking for a paycheck, then this is the place for you. One thing i love about Pacifica is they promote growth within the company, and have great incentives for their staff who go above and beyond. This job is very fulfilling for me as a person, the fact that i get to help someone in need makes my heart feel like i made a difference in this world. If you like to ride the clock, always be on your phone and do not like staying busy, then this is no job for you.
