Full of people who are great to collaborate with. Company has significant potential for growth and provides a breadth of unique challenges. This isn't a company where you feel like who you work with might smile at you one day and stab you in the back the next.
|
Management decisions can be inscrutable and frustrating. Opportunities for advancement are very limited and most hires for positions in which one could move up come from outside the company rather than drawing on existing talent. Management also tends to micromanage and can be resistant to change that growth necessitates. No 401k match.

Wow, Management is a group of people with no management experience. They have just been grandfathered into the company. Most of them have never worked anywhere else. They run shop very militant, they call several times a day and jump at the opportunity to put you on blast with a good scolding. Most employees work in fear of getting in "trouble" If you are new in your career and need to be micromanaged this is the place for you. Alos, No 401k matching and the worst benefits if you can even call them that.

The products are genuinely cool and serve a crucial need in the industry. They truly are second to none in terms of performance and reliability.
It's refreshing to work for a company that fosters innovation by encouraging new ideas. Overall, the people here are great and a pleasure to work with. It is definitely a team-oriented atmosphere -- where everyone works together to achieve a common goal.

The company has been experiencing a lot of growth in the past year or so as it has won some big contracts, so things are ramping up quite a bit in every department. This can make the work a bit stressful at times. However, the company is hiring more people every month to help ease the load. Any growing company is going to experience some growing pains.
The only other thing I can think of is the 401k plan doesn't have a company match. At least, not at the moment. This isn't a huge deal, but it would be nice to have.
