I have worked here for over half a decade and can point to pivotal times when I have brought up concerns and they were addressed immediately by either Upper Management or HR. +They are ever changing. I see a lot of reviews here mentioning that the constant change is a bad thing, and I disagree. Page One Power is a tech company, which means it will inevitably go through changes. With changes there are growing pains. You can chose to make this a positive experience if you want. +Our benefits coordinator is so wonderful at handling any question I have about health care, 401k, or a bill I got from a doctor. -The culture has changed since COVID hit. Not necessarily in a negative way, but it feels less connected since we can't rely on a weekly meeting or breakfast meet up to socialize with each other. -Some teams are smaller than others, so when work gets distributed unequally it can feel like one person is making up for another person's oversight. Flexible hours. 4 day work week. Remote work options after probation period. Good place to gain experience straight out of college in a growing and niche field. There was once a time that I truly believed this was the best company I'd ever worked for. While the pay was low in relation to the cost of living in Boise, I really felt like they cared about their employees and did their best to create a good company culture, and people stuck with the job despite the low pay for that reason. That all changed this last December when they proved they are just like any other business and laid off several people in favor of hiring contract workers. Needless to say, it killed the culture people were staying for. People that were kept on are in a constant state of stress because of high work loads due to not enough staff, worry that their job might be next, and the constant struggle and weight of low pay and a rapidly rising cost of living. The company often boasts about being "people focused" and prides themselves on a offering a good work life balance, but this is not the case. Part of a good work life balance is being adequately paid. Many workers (particularly ones that are the main breadwinner for their family, or that don't have a significant other with a higher paying job to help with bills) have to work multiple jobs to get by. Working remotely and having flex time are nice perks, but when you have to work a second job on top of your full time job in order live, that really kills any semblance of a work life balance. Pay is also affected by mandated furlough days that only affect hourly workers - i.e., the people that make the least amount of money and are affected most by missed work days. There is also no sick pay, so any time taken off for illness either has to come out of PTO or go unpaid....once again, something many people can't afford to do. While pay is above minimum wage, that really doesn't mean much in Boise right now. The company is losing workers left and right to better, higher paying jobs and is struggling to hire quality candidates that have the experience to jump in and pick up where seasoned workers have left off. I hope the company will come to the conclusion soon that the only way to keep their best workers and hire experienced candidates is to pay them what they are worth. As of right now, everyone is feeling very undervalued, overworked, and overall burnt out. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 9.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 729947 Open Employees know none of this is a secret to those in upper management with the power to make these much needed changes, so my only advice is to listen and actively work to make these changes. If this is truly a surprise, then my advice is to be more involved and aware so you can see the struggles of your employees. And managers are very relaxed as long as you're performing Frankly, the work for "research" is really boring. Manages and coworkers are always super nice and friendly, and everyone just wants to see everyone else succeed. People with a "me-first" attitude rarely last long at the company. It also offers some excellent entry-level experience, if you're new to the marketing/SEO world. There are many areas for improvement, mostly centered around pay and lack of transparency. Transparency is a "core value" but it is rarely actually put into practice (although everyone is honest, not all decisions are made transparent). Plus, hourly employees are often lauded as the most important people for the company, but are then subject to sudden layoffs, furlough days, cut backs, and heavy workloads. There's very little camaraderie between Suite 100 and the content/research floor, managers are almost always in meetings (so rarely available for quick chats or training), and the company decided to let go about 10% of the staff in exchange for "freelance" or "contract" employees. One common struggle is the lack of structure when making changes.
