It’s a Great Job!!
|
Working as a Nurse Navigator is great! Its fully remote so is like working at a triage in the emergency room, but from home! You evaluate patient symptoms via call or chat and dispose of the according to protocols. Company culture is great and supervisors are friendly and helpful. Very good benefits.

Great place to work, but no career advancement
|
The company is focused on team work and provides the tools necessary to succeed in the job. The day to day work is very similar and can get boring. It’s a job that you want to have and don't want to leave, but know that you will have no advancement in your career other than having more responsibilities for the same pay. Salary is somewhere in the middle. Supervisors tend to evaluate based on rubrics and opinions. Best part of the job it’s thats fully remote.

The actual day to day job is fine! Coworkers great! Management is what ruins the job! They are so backwards! They also are very critical and seemingly focuses on the wrong thing at every turn! Will never show grace and/or really highlight your strengths! The way this company is run totally kills your joy for the job! Their policies are incomplete and have a lot of gray areas. This allows management to do what they want. They want feedback but at every turn, feedback and concerns were dismissed. No change at all! The trainings are all over the place and terrible! You only learn what you didn’t learn when it is marked incorrect on your QA. Management knows their training is not the best but take no accountability. The pay is also very low! Trust me! This company has alot of growing to do! Beware!

Decent place to work
|
Pager was overall a good place to work. I felt well-supported by my managers and was able to contribute effectively to the team. I also learned a good amount in my time there.
Some of the biggest downsides however were that:
1. Very beholden to 1 major insurance company client - whatever the client wanted, they got, with little regard to engineering quality or team burnout.
2. Constantly shifting priorities - at various times there were directives to drop everything and focus on a shiny new object (usually for the aforementioned client). A lot of these things were later abandoned, so the ROI on these was dubious.
3. No clear direction / transparency from upper management about company plans. Angling for acquisition? Massive expansion?
4. Being a startup, cash comp was decent though not great. This is related to point 3 above; If you're accepting lower than market comp, you have to know it's leading somewhere on some kind of well-defined timeframe. The timeframe may change but at least there should be a rough idea.

Workplace with good benefits but disorganized leadership
|
As a care coordinator everyday would be different due to the volume of patients that'd come in. Some days it was absolutely unreasonable and some days you'd have a lot of free time. The work itself isn't hard, but it's monotonous and pair that with constantly changing workflows and procedures ( every couple of weeks ) became very taxing. Also, you have a direct line of communication for help and to leadership but actionable items take a long time to be actualized and sometimes go completely unresolved.
