private:pagesuite https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=920639 Mar 16th, 2021 12:00AM Open Open PageSuite Senior Account Manager Ashford, Surrey, South East England, England I learnt alot about the working world but also that I wouldn't want to work for an owner managed business ever again -They do work with some interesting and big name brands -There were good travel opportunities (if that interests you) - My time there got my career going and I learnt alot - They try to understand the market with the product they release - There is a bit of a bullying culture and sadly it is driven from the top down,possibly because of certain individuals own bad experiences in life. - Too much focus on getting new shiny product out to market before it's suitable - If your mentality differs from senior management, I.e. you don't pick up an email at 10 PM on a Friday night, then you will likely struggle to build yourself a favourable internal brand. FYI management this isn't the only quality that's signifies a hard working individual or dedication to the role - Anything I learnt was completely on my own with very little support - Alot of unprofessionalism within the business - If particular senior officers within the company got out of bed the wrong way, everyone was going to have a bad day - During my time there, a disproportionate level of focus was put on new business which numerous clients picked up on - Product looked good on the face of it, but alot of niggling problems would surface down the line. I think more time to iron issues out and better support paying clients would have really helped. In fairness, PageSuite tried to do this but never really seemed to execute it with much conviction - I think the approach to many things at PageSuite is to cover the bare minimum I.e. salaries, product development, QA, support and hope that employees, clients etc don't cotton on (not least until you have managed to get your worth out of them) -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 0.0 NO_OPINION 0.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 3.0 2.0 1.0 920639 Open A good start would be to focus on the points that some of these reviews have raised and try to improve them, rather than asking others to right favourable reviews You are also as only good as the peoppe you surround yourselves with. Alot of talented ex employees have left and gone on to bigger and better things which a) is taken as a personal attack and b) you could have possibly prevented or delayed to your benefit if you did more to understand people. The company's direction is always going down. There's so many problems with the software as it's bodged together poorly and you can't spend days or weeks fixing it because they need the money to stay afloat from new clients. Time needs to be spent improving the product so less problems occur and the managers actually need to do their job.
