PageUp is a great company. The global reach makes for a diverse team and the opportunity to work remote full-time is valuable. Everyone is incredibly selfless with their time and energy and no one has ever complained about going out of their way to help out a mate. Leadership did a great job adjusting to the pandemic.
Good maternity / paternity leave and a growing focus on family importance and work / life balance.

A global team means there can be calls that exist outside of the typical 9-5.
Institutional knowledge / memory is scattered and documentation of system behaviour can be hard to track down, especially when people leave.
Pay is decent. Pandemic has been hard on Finance.
Insurance is awful.

Good job with transparency (CEO briefings)
The addition of maternity / paternity leave was amazing and changes like this will continue to cement in loyalty as the company proves that it 1) values employees and 2) values life outside of PageUp.
Keep giving out decent raises and you'll keep people who could otherwise easily transition to another role with a bigger company. Take this with a grain of salt as the pandemic didn't / isn't helping.

They don't hire DevOps engineers so rather than getting a chance to do React or other modern front end tech I was stuck in a team doing bug fixing and SRE work for the Classic ASP and WebForms monolithic big ball of mud.
