Aweful, the worst people I've ever worked with.

The chemistry can be quite interesting you work with some colourful mixtures.
One or two of the staff are friendly nice people.
|
To take a job here is a real gamble with your mental health and your career.
Suffice to say I wouldn't advise anyone to apply there.
the company culture is toxic as evidenced by:
-Gossip and negative remarks about members of staff are ubiquitous
(I worked there 3.5 years and I was the only one who didn't trash talk.)
-The company has no core values, the managers are duplicitous and underhanded. ( I personally saw them set a trap for a colleague they disliked then push for their dismissal)
- Unfriendly competition is present between all teammates, managers are aware and have done nothing to rectify the problem.
-Employees aren't adequately acknowledged or rewarded.
-The staff turnover of the company is insanely high, staff in this company are unhappy and leave whenever they can because the culture problems are impossible for a non-manager to fix.

Not a good place to work, you can do better.

- they pay you, but less than the market worth
- the work isn't challenging, but isn't interesting either
|
-The company has no interest in its workers or investing in its workers
-The current management has a very flippant attitude to work law and have previously made people redundant on a whim then work out legal loopholes after.
-The company follows blindly funding a project that has out them millions in debt and yet management promote the project, this reflects poorly on Halma.
-Poor science standards, No GMP or GLP training for any staff.
-All of their tests are validated poorly and with their own manufactured instruments/batches.
- Nepotism and cronyism is rife in the company

You should value people more, invest in your workers, educate them, because your companies profitability is tied up with their happiness and health both mental and physical.
Stop funding projects that everyone advises will fail but one person says will succeed. realise that if managers are not willing to take responsibility for outcomes they have caused, they arent a good manager.
