Palms is one of the most employee focused companies I have experienced. They adapt to changing environments, promoting diversity and inclusion. The bonus program is fair and reasonably attainable to all onsite employees and paid monthly. The health benefits are affordable and the retirement matching and profit sharing is top notch. The structure of the company and support from the top has been appreciated and allows me to feel confident in my daily duties. If you are looking for stability and a great group of people to work with, Palms is for you. If you are looking for a fast-track to the top, Palms is not for you. You will learn from some of the best in the business, but the tenure of the team coupled with scarce new development, may hinder you. Positive & encouraging work environment, small company -you are not just a number, culture of the company is fair to teams and residents, issues do not get band aids and are handled timely, no micromanaging from above, overall there is little turnover and teams stay fairly consistent over time, open door policy and fair pay. You feel like you are a part of something, and it does not feel like a shark tank of competition amongst associates. Jobs don’t get traded out to other management companies!! Slow to change, limited growth opportunity. Since it is a smaller company, the risk to change processes or aim for different markets is high. Always friendly and up in spirit! It was hard to live off the amount I was being compensated. In most leasing roles there is potentials for commission and bonuses. Also makes it easier to deal with upset customers. The hours change with the time change- winter hours are 8-5 and summer hours are 9-6.
