Fun culture. Very transparent. Good leadership and strong sense of direction. It all depends what you're comfortable with, however. They offer business planing and email management software. If you don't have specific skills to be in marketing, coding, software development, etc you will find yourself being a Customer Advocate. This position that I held involves responding to many phone calls, emails, and chats throughout each day. It's very face-paced and can often be quite stressful due to the amount of people that struggle to use the software. The business-planning software in particular is quite complex and quite regularly confuses users. There's never really a break between calls, chats, and emails. It's just one right after another, after another, etc. Not for everybody and there are some advancement opportunities, but you need a very specific background in order to "move up" within the company. Pros: Great benefits package - Health & dental insurance covering most of costs; reimbursement for textbooks & things Cons: I felt that they had a cut-throat atmosphere, giving little help or encouragement to new hires. They seemed to give new employees about 6 months and let them go if they aren't satisfied. I was advised on how to go about some tasks and then told they felt that I solved them the wrong way. I also felt that they are an unfriendly environment: They just want things done, yet it's difficult to get help with clear answers from some employees. Sometimes I felt like I got intentionally vague & unclear answers. Communication about tasks to be worked on also seemed lacking sometimes. I also felt that some employees were unfriendly and lacked a sense of humor, so it was hard to talk to them. Also, as part of the interview process, there was a coding exercise to be done at home. I don't think the coding exercise I was given was reflective of the type of work I was to be doing. I had applied for a web developer position and was given a coding exercise involving getting some data via a JSON request and was told I could use a programming language of my choice. I chose C#, and later found that my response was passed from the web marketing team (where my position was) to their product development team because nobody in their web marketing team was familiar with C#. We helped kick-start the sales campaign for a brand new subscription-based email software called Outpost. I was given a variety of tasks and opportunities while there. The coworkers were extremely friendly and helpful. They taught me a lot about performing in a sales team as well as the workforce in general. But the Customer Service team seemed disconnected from the rest of the company. Wages were comparable for the industry, but not competitive to the value the team brought to the entire company. Customer service manager very set in their ways and does not like to be questioned at all.
