Our leadership team is very serious about mentorship and employee growth, and there are significant opportunities to grow and be promoted. The company is big enough to have an impact on the world, but small enough that you can have a big impact on the company. Perks and benefits are excellent, Kendall Square location is great, and I truly love coming to work every day. If help is needed anyone in the company will really stop and try their best without hesitation. The pay is great and competitive. The office is hard working but very close knit/welcoming. Perfect balance of fun and career growth potential. A lot of companies falsely preach a horizontal open door policy with their organizational structure, Panjiva actually practices this thoroughly. Everyone is accessible and speaks to you as an equal, especially the CEO, Josh. Lastly, my favorite thing would have to be how much Panjiva embraces and thrives with female leadership. I've been in 3 companies in New York City and it was the only time I've seen this. Do yourself a favor and apply. It's an open office layout, and people are very friendly and all generally get along. Many here are friends with one another outside work, and it's common for groups of people from different teams to get together for drinks or other activities outside of the office. The pay is very good when compared to other startups and small companies. The CEO values the talent here and you can tell that management cares about retaining good employees. Management has a very 'open-door' style, and they are generally willing to listen to the ideas of anyone within the organization regardless of title. Strategic direction can be a bit impatient. A common recurring issue is that management will move onto the next item without focusing improving the core product. Power is consolidated to 3 major players in management, and there's sometimes a lack of transparency in terms of direction. The positive work environment keeps morale way up and makes coming into work that much more rewarding. They take the time to carefully decide who joins their team, and I think they've done a great job of selecting a group of individuals who work well together to meet personal and company goals. The product is a powerful tool for the trade industry-- you get to speak with decision makers at interesting companies all over the world and get a peek into importing going-ons in global trade. How you use this to your advantage is up to you. One of the better benefits packages. Good number of PTO days, good insurance, have transitchek, offer quarterly "education dollars", and expenses. Nice neighborhood to work in (Flatiron). The team often gets together after work for drinks. Lots of snacks, too!
