good hours, nice colleagues, minimal interference

no feedback, everything negative comes as a surprise, mismanagement, clients are treated as valuable, which makes sense, but at the expense of employees, lousy organization, everything rolls downhill. no accountability except when you get blames for something

this company is built on the editors, not the clients. there will always be clients, but the editors take time to train. if you contiue to treat them badly, you will be left with no one.

A Positive and Recommended Workplace
Work schedules and hours are regular and reliable, and the work is interesting and engaging. As of this writing, employees also have access to a very competitive 401(k) plan. The work environment is positive and supportive, and the company provides necessary reference materials. In addition, management is very responsive to employee needs.
I would only consider it a con if you dislike solitude or remote work, but because work is done remotely, employees should be comfortable with working from home and exercising personal discipline and time management. If these things appeal to you, then this should not be a downside at all.

This is a great company, although it's not for everyone.
- There's a lot of autonomy (one can work from home, coffee shops, or anywhere else that is comfortable).
- Senior editors provide a lot of constructive feedback in real time, troubleshooting, and opportunities for new editors to learn new methods and skills.
- It's sort of like freelance work but without all the headaches regarding customer service. There is a representative who works to mediate these processes between the editors and customers.
- management is very hands-on, friendly, and ready to answer questions or solve problems
- The hours are pretty flexible hours and accommodating (overtime is allowed and sometimes necessary).
- Because it's a remote position, there isn't a lot of social interaction (everybody communicates remotely).
- For people who have strong editing and writing skills but may not thrive editing rigorously under fast deadlines, this position may not be the best fit. That said, the senior editors do provide a lot of good advice on how to improve.
- Sometimes working for several hours on the computer can be draining (in my case). Still, I know people who excel in this kind of work setting (I would just say use your best judgement on whether you are that type of person.

a happy employee
Because this is a work-from-home job,it grants a lot of flexibility. I've worked from home, from coffee shops, and from other cities. My coworkers have been kind and supportive, and I've enjoyed my time working for the company.
Make sure you're okay working by yourself. Although you're on constant contact with your shiftmates, you don't have face-to-face coworkers. If you thrive on personal contact and conversation, this job may not be for you.

Papercheck Makes the Fantasy of Full Time Remote Editing a Reality
If you really love editing (and the hiring process is designed to ensure that you do), this job is perfect, because it is a full shift that consists of precisely that.
Even though you aren't working in an office with your fellow editors, the sense of camaraderie and teamwork is palpable and deeply encouraging; you will feel like you know coworkers you've never met better than some people you see every day
The company is small enough that you are treated like a human being; if there is something going on in your life that is making things difficult, your supervisor and even the CEO tend to go out of their way to make sure that you can not only keep working, but that you actually feel well taken care of.
The job is exactly what it claims to be: all editing, all the time.
Upper management (supervisors, customer service, and the CEO) do their best to identify hard workers and recognize their hard work (in ways that are both tangible, like profit sharing, and intangible, through company-wide e-mails).
This can be both a Pro and a Con, but during off-peak times, you are often offered the chance to take a shift off, and depending on which shift you work, this can be awesome.
That is the last thing: the shifts cover all 24 hours of the day, so you can really work at any time that you hope to, and, ultimately, your salary is determined by how efficiently you can edit the material.
They are pretty awesome about giving you paid time off when you request it, if it is at all possible, even on fairly short notice.
Even if the salary sometimes feels as though it could be higher, the tradeoff for working from home and the consistency of the shifts/paychecks makes up for it (Plus, the CEO clearly tries to ensure that everyone gets any benefits available, in terms of retirement funds and potential raises).
As I mentioned above, there are instances where you don't necessarily want to take a shift off, but people on your shift have to take turns volunteering.
I have been working the night shift, by choice, since I started, and that can be difficult. Several people on my shift have left, and it has occasionally felt difficult to do without them.
It can be difficult to consistently make profit share, depending on a lot of factors.
This was not my experience, but I know that some of my coworkers were not aware that they weren't doing as well as expected until they felt their jobs were at risk (however, everyone in that situation, to my knowledge, was given the opportunity and a plan designed to help them get their word count and performance up.)

Excellent editing opportunity to work from home. When considered with the perks, the pay structure is incredibly fair. The professional and friendly atmosphere is stress free. Senior staff is helpful and knowledgeable.

Great CEO and lots of perks
I've worked here for over a year now. Darren, the CEO, does everything in his power to create a supportive, comfortable environment for his employees. Working from home is a great perk. The company gives me paid time off, but I have been able to travel around and still work because you just need your computer and a decent Internet connection (with a CAT5 cable). You will also enjoy this job if you like reading, learning, or trivia. Through this job, I've learned about the most random, fascinating topics that I wouldn't have ever thought to look up myself. Coworkers are great, friendly people as well. All around, nice place to work!
If you don't like being stationary for hours at a time, you may not like this job too much. I got assigned to the overnight shift, which was a little hard to adjust to.

Great company to work for
Working from home is a perk. The leadership and supervisors are nice people and are generally easy to reach with any questions or issues. I get 2 weeks of paid time off each year, which is a great benefit.
Not working with people in person can feel a bit lonely/isolated, but we always have a Skype chat going with everyone on shift.

Good company
Good teammates and management; they are all lovely people who work to ensure that your experience is a good one.
The business has built-in slow periods during the summer and the winter holidays, which means that there won't always be enough work during those times.

Great job. I’ll miss it.
Work from home or the road with sufficient Internet connection. Good support process for training and working. Easy communication with management and colleagues. Clear-cut procedures. Opportunity to earn based on performance. Good job for family people and travelers.
Pay is good and steady but not high. Some shifts lack leadership, but this fluctuates over time (not a chronic problem). Not many cons.
