Worst Place I've ever worked at
leaving at the end of the day
For holiday part time workers they expect you to come in for 12 hour days 5 times a week, which is way beyond a typical work week. The work is meaningless and degrading. You are over worked for no benefit.

Seasonal Customer Service Advocate

A Tight-Knit Family (with some Ugly Christmas Sweaters just for show)
I would say that this company is one of the most endearing and compassionate "start-up" environments I've ever worked in. Especially if you're joining as a seasonal employee for the holiday season, it's almost crazy to me how close and communicative everyone is from the top down despite the many cycles of holiday employees they encounter every year.
There really isn't a stereotypical issue of "be told to do something, but not be allowed to ask for help". In fact, it's the opposite, there are so many open doors to communication and gathering help. The number of times I've just got up and out of my seat just to ask a question honestly makes me feel bad, but that translates into the confidence you provide in answering customer issues and inquiries.
Overall, in my limited time working here, I felt like I've grown leaps and bounds not by outright adversity (though you'll certainly get a little bit of it at least) but through being able to stumble and get picked right back up by my cohorts. It's certainly a different experience than what most may anticipate.
When the deadlines get closer to Christmas, everything gets more hectic. You'll sometimes "see" the ugliest side of people over holiday cards. Paper Culture's website isn't the most user-friendly in comparison to other companies, so researching and becoming familiar with it is a required must when problem-solving for customers.

Continue to keep building the website to make things easier and more transparent. (Such as not being able to change text once customers pass a certain step). It's the little things that might prevent hundreds of people from having to contact support. But they already know that.

Great People, Good Learning Experience

The environment is welcoming and staff is very nice. They are a great support throughout the busy season and provide fun and social activities where they can. The work allows for some creativity and is great practice to build design and customer service skills.

Seasonal CSR Experience
- Incredible culture. Core team was friendly and always available for questions. They really made an effort make us feel valued and appreciated. We also lucked out with an amazingly supportive and funny 2017 seasonal crew. Couldn't have survived those 2 months without them.
- "Brown bag lunches" with the CEO, Senior Marketing Director, Creative Director and Product Manager. Take advantage of these meetings where you get to pick their brain for career advice.
- Expect some early mornings and late nights during the height of seasonal. There's a solid 2 weeks where the AM shift starts at 6am and the PM shift ends at 10pm).
- Sometimes OT is available.
- To be expected but there's a very slim chance you'll be hired on as a permanent employee afterwards since the bulk of their business occurs during the holiday season. It is encouraging, however, that a few of their FT staff were previously seasonal hires.
