private:paperlesspost https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=555019 May 7th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open Paperless Post Software Engineer Great product; Awesome work/life balance - great work/life balance. be accountable for the work you sign up for; have flexibility in having a life outside of work. - leadership listens to everyone, the founders of the companies say hello to everyone in the hallways, and super approachable. - communication/alignment/tech continues to mature year after year. hasn't been a year that has gone by that i haven't seen noticeable growth in these key areas. - engineers opinions matter. we are building out things in a way that is scalable and maintainable. of course we hustle at times like every company, but we are given a lot of latitude in how create software and how we run our teams. - leadership supports career decisions. flexibility to switch roles within the company (within reason). personally, i don't have any cons. this is the best job that i've had so far in my career. there are some "cons", but they are universal to any organization. i don't list them as cons because we are always working on them and improving on them. mostly revolving around communication, alignment, etc... 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 555019 Open - continue to improve on the key areas as we've been doing. - keep on communicating the vision. - communicate an even longer term vision (5 yrs out) for the product and technology. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 0.0 Mar 29th, 2021 09:18PM Mar 29th, 2021 09:18PM Paperless Post

Flexibility on work from home, work hours. Great culture and benefits. We have bagel monday's and sprint ending presentations and parties where everyone gathers and celebrates. Overall I walk in happy on Monday's, I think that matters most to me than anything else. private:paperlesspost https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=555019 Dec 14th, 2018 12:00AM Open Open Paperless Post Work Hard, Play Hard. The title says it all. Paperless Post today is a different company than it was years back. Period. And we're all happier for it. Full disclosure: I'm writing this because I just came out of an awesome 1:1 with my manager and I figured I'd show it off somewhere. From a work perspective: We're a no BS organization that values and listens to the great people on the team. Leadership is especially good at pinpointing where weaknesses are and finding the right people to address those weak points. They're almost too good... as if they see it all. If you're looking for a company that'll be okay with you sitting back and relaxing rather than actually helping move mountains, this is not the place for you. If you're not open to learning from a very positive, blameless environment, then this is still not the place for you. If you're the type that thinks you know it all? Definitely not the spot for you. We're pretty much all about getting things done and done the right way. (as opposed to just... getting things done.) The company is profitable. Shout out to the Finance team for being firm with their goals and for making that happen. It was obviously a company-wide push, but you know what I mean. The company runs like a well oiled machine. Shout out to the IT, People Ops, and Office Ops teams for making that happen. From a cultural perspective: Snacks galore. There's always food in the canteen. Like so much to the point where you'll have to start working out. Take advantage of that deal you get with our insurance policy that gives you a great deal on a gym membership. You'll need it because of the great food that shows up for events.... or even on the best Friday ever. The company is inclusive, almost so inclusive it makes you wonder if there's even a type of person that wouldn't fit in and enjoy their time with us, both at work and at play. Here's what I'm talking about: Have a go-to Karaoke Song? Love table top games? Enjoy running or are into keeping in shape? Are you an Apple fan? Do you like your PC? Do you love baking cookies? Are you into having puppies roaming around the office? Do you love your cats? Are you into bagels? #bagelmondays . Do you like beer on tap? (We have two in our canteen). Do you like beer out of bottles? (yeah, got that too). Are you into cookies? What about popcorn? Would you be interested in joining us for a poker night? What about yankee swaps? Do you like empanadas? What about movie nights? What about KBBQ? Do you enjoy parties? Do you enjoy gatherings? Do you enjoy working in silence? Can you focus best with a pair of headphones on? If your answer was a yes for at least TWO of these things... then culturally, you'll love it here. NOTE: This is not an ad. No one has time for that. If you're on glassdoor because you're considering an opportunity with Paperless Post, good. Here's the list: - Very specific teams work crazy hours and weekends (but of course, this is made up for with the opportunity to work from home the following day, and of course, the 20 PTO days we're given by default etc) - Bring back Welcome on-boarding sessions with all teams so new folks (and old) understand what each team does! - Find more ways to build culture and to get folks out and about after-hours - The commute is brutal sometimes (this is specific to me, obviously) - Sometimes the office is just too quiet, even with a full house. - Some rooms have lighting that's too dim (some like this because honestly, it is cozy but... almost too cozy) - Bring back Happy Hours and ways to bring cross-functional socialization to the org! - The elevators in the building are so unreliable sometimes you'll get stuck in there with it just traveling to floors that haven't even been pressed. - Not clear if the office is dog friendly or not (come on, make it dog friendly already, and publicize it!) - Some folks bottle in how passionate they feel about a change or decision that's been made and end up - Can we bring back green tea and coconut water? - WAY too many white walls. Like almost too many. Get some pictures up on those walls please. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 4.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 555019 Open Please keep focusing on company culture. Please keep refining Flyer because at the end of the day we all want it to succeed. Keep listening to Content Design and Product and continue to listen to the folks who are willing to give you input. The people who care are the only ones who'll share. There's a lot of value in that. My Thumbs up for CEO is not just because of James, but because of Alexa too. There isn't enough space on Glassdoor to talk about how much Alexa has stepped up and is really owning the process of refining the company to become what we all want it to become. Let's keep this up! 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 4.0 Mar 29th, 2021 09:18PM Mar 29th, 2021 09:18PM Paperless Post
private:paperlesspost https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=555019 Dec 5th, 2018 12:00AM Open Open Paperless Post New York, NY Fun place to grow building products millions use and love Paperless Post has the best of both worlds: freedom to be agile and pick latest technologies without setbacks, and stability of 10 year old mature business. Paperless is a startup but with over 10 years it has all the logistics figured out, and has millions of customers who love our products. Its just like working for any of the really big boys, all the benefits etc, and none of the bureaucracy. The beauty of it is that it has its startup culture, high energy, with everybody making real impact and treating each other like family. Company is growing, and at times we only become aware of new initiatives when other departments do a new release and announce it. Would love to have more exposure of all the new developments in the making. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 3.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 555019 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 0.0 Mar 29th, 2021 09:18PM Mar 29th, 2021 09:18PM Paperless Post

private:paperlesspost https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=555019 Nov 4th, 2018 12:00AM Open Open Paperless Post Great time to work at Paperless PP has been around 10 years and is an industry leader. The company has worked towards finding product-market-fit for a new product and is in growth mode. Lots of exciting greenfield work happening right now using the latest stack(react, redux, graphql, kubernetes, golang). The company's leadership is very open and transparent(regular town-halls, 360' feedback, etc). Not to mention they have great benefits, flexible work hours, work from home, etc The holiday season can be a bit hectic since that's the time when PP makes the most revenue. I guess that's a good problem to have. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 2.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 4.0 555019 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 1.0 Mar 29th, 2021 09:18PM Mar 29th, 2021 09:18PM Paperless Post
