Good place to begin, or gain mid level chemistry experience.

Don't expect upward mobility. If you do make it up the chain, expect to lose your job after disagreements with upper level management who don't know chemistry.

Paragon is an analytical laboratory and requires attention to detail to provide quality data. It also requires a mindset in the space of continuous improvement and trying to figure out how to improve the current processes in place to become more efficient. This is what I like about working at Paragon as well as the people I work with and the benefits offered.

Sometimes a few employees will leave in a short amount of time causing stress. Often an employee will leave and the result is extra work being distributed to people who already have a full workload.

Early in the COVID-19 pandemic Paragon altered schedules and reduced working hours for safety but they still paid full wages to everyone. This was kept up through all the Stay Home orders and until things got back to 'normal'. Then they gave the on-site crew an extra 3 days of time off to reduce stress and burn out.

It's harder to get things done since some of the managers and the entire quality team are working remotely or are at a different on site location, it feels kind of disconnected.

Some of the people working there are the hardest working, best people to be around.
|
Two (three depending on who you are) of the staff are impossible to work with. Sadly they are in high positions of power. The orientation paints this picture of a progressive, professional, staff first culture. Quickly it's discovered to be untrue. The company has had nearly 40% turn over in 2019, and has experienced several large turn over years in its twenty some years. The company is 20% managers for some weird reason, and completely lacks any semblance of an HR department.
