Has been a great place to grow.
If I want in on a project, or to learn something; my mgt will find a way to do it if the opportunity arises.
FSS is always there to listen and I trust him when he says he will do what he can.
The FS team plays hard, and works hard. FS managers will reward you if you go above and beyond.
Mediocrity is not appreciated

PTO Carry over of 24 hours is BS and they excuse they used was a cop out.
Field team feels like the red headed step children every now and then due to special events at HQ, but FS doesn't get an equivalent.
Work life balance can be rough if you expect a 9-5 m-f gig. But if you can handle your responsibilities, it normally works out in the end.

New leadership doesn't blend well into the company they are leading. CEO likes to make political statements at the start of town halls. Is very unprofessional. We are a pharmacy robotics company. There's no place for flavor of the month outrage in a robotics company. Anybody who says otherwise is a fool afraid of the twitter mob.

GOOD company - don't believe all the negative reviews

People at Parata really care about one another - although many reviews would lead you to believe otherwise, I know that leaders actually care about the people and not just the bottom line. (Many reviewers seem to forget that this IS a for-profit business and not a mission-based organization.)
Benefits very competitive for the company size - generous PTO and holiday policy, in particular.
You can feel the difference you make to the team(s).
Great products.
Open doors to leadership team.
New, clean building - designed and laid out with much employee input taken into consideration.
Growing - that feels bad to some people, because growing often leads to growing pains, but growth in a business is good and necessary.

After acquisition by private equity and merging of two previously competing companies, many people felt worn out. Maybe things didn't go as smoothly as they could have, but it wasn't for lack of trying. The "con" here is the end-result - some people feeling like they lost benefits, others feeling like they were undervalued, cultures of two companies both changing.
Can be slow to act on poor performers - the cost of feeling like family, so it's a negative result of a positive practice.

There are some nice associates of course.

Worked in several departments, and every one of them has the same problems. Here are a few. Cliquish, unprofessional, bad behaviors rewarded, bullying, managers/supervisors misleading statements, convenient and partial truths, white lies taken to new level, limited upward growth, took our 401k away, out-performers get more work and little/no acknowledgement, subprime performers get rewarded thru promotions/raises/merit increases, no training programs to speak of, thrown into the job - swim or drown - knowledge is tribal - tribes must like you to share anything, many/most coworkers will misguide you and work actively to make one look bad, HR is a monster, NEVER EVER answer any questions leading to "What do you think about..." - will be used against you, NEVER EVER present an idea unless you have it completely fleshed out, basic job, simply do the work and keep your head down and you'll be working at the same wage and same place as when you were hired unless you're best friends with the manager/supervisor/boss. NOT LGBTQ friendly whatsoever.

Field operations management hierarchy is rife with self aggrandizing mediocrity and nepotism. Training is cursory at best, software constantly needs patches, dispensing and packaging equipment routinely breaks down, and blame is always on the FSE never on the incompetent management.
