Used to be a nice place to work, but...
|
This used to be an exciting start up to work for. There was a family spirit and culture. Since the TCGRx merger, it is bottom line driven down to the penny. Time in and service with the company mean little to nothing now.
The people are actually easy to work with, but everyone is trying to deal with the churn of unrealistic expectations.
The products are actually very innovative and interesting.

Flexible with PTO, Leave, etc.
|
The Healthcare is low in value, you can get side swiped trying to get in and out of the place, and the C-Suite has lost touch with the contributors.

The development team I worked with is very professional and easy going at the same time.

Let me say first and foremost, I had a wonderful experience working for the Beacon and AIM teams. They have a product that is very organized and easy to understand from a coding level. It did not take me very long to become completely vested in the product and how it operates.
The people involved are a laid back but dedicated team focused on creating a strong easy to use product from both a development and end user stand point. Unlike my previous position I did not feel any pressure to complete a task nor was I raked over the coals when something did not work the first time. In other words the work load was not overwhelming. I was allowed to work my own schedule as long as deadlines were met.
I hold no malice or discontent for my layoff, the decision came from on high, my direct managers were shocked to discover my demise.

I had an excellent manager who was very driven to achieve goals his mgr at that time(SC Director) did not believe was possible.

Some cliques, some management issues (some came there from same company). Mostly nice people but several would talk poorly about you behind your back. Did provide daily snacks.

Good clean, well-maintained facility. Good HR group.
|
Former SC director, Great Plains was not a solid WMS, u of m issues caused customer complaints & impacted inventory accuracy.

Nice Company

Overall, the company treats people well. They have wellness initiatives and will get you whatever you need in order to succeed. The break room has a very nice coffee machine. Some of the managers aren't as attentive/supportive, while other managers in the company are more active. The company culture is one of trust that the work will get done, which I like because I'm not productive when I'm being watched all the time and breaks are not a problem. I feel like I didn't have any training before getting thrown into the work, but the other employees are generally pretty friendly and helpful, and I haven't felt overwhelmed after getting a bit of experience. I haven't yet been successful in expanding my job and taking on more responsibility, but I am generally well-liked and trusted by those who have gotten to work with me and hope that once I've been around for a while, the company will have a little more trust and give me more responsibility.

Heavy work load
|
I was with this company since it started and it was great. I got to travel on my own schedule, performing PMs, installing new machines and provided training. As the company grew, so did the territory--up to 60 machines in a five state area. I often had to hit five sites in a day! And that was on top of the free time at home doing expense reports, parts ordering, and contributing to a knowledge base. You got surprise calls on the weekend that you thought you had off and you got to cover other FSE's territories on a regular basis. It soon got to be overwhelming and management didn't have my back unfortunately. They kind of went with the typical " the drill bit is wearing out, so lets replace with a new one at a lower cost" routine...

|
This company will use you up then toss you aside. Don't believe them when they say they'll make you permanent if you get a contractor position here. They'll have you working longer than the agreed upon date without the benefit of job security.
