Culture, innovation, focus on clients and our people. ParkMobile is the most incredible place I've ever worked. Very dynamic, great people, and management truly cares about doing the right thing: for our clients and our people. We went through COVID and while all other companies in our industry laid off or furloughed, management at ParkMobile put people first and did not. Our clients and people truly appreciated that and we've come out of this even further ahead of the pack as a result!

Extremely dissatisfied with how they responded to COVID-19. Postponed safety measures leading up to the pandemic. Management sent out emails saying "working from home is a privilege" to push employees towards being productive wfh. Executives proceeded to heavily gaslight during weekly all-hands throughout quarantine. Extremely insensitive during dangerous times.
A "gaslight culture" that extends top down from the executives to management to compensate for the extremely chaotic work environment. A cluster of silos exist across all departments. Arbitrary deadlines that come seemingly at random from up above. Company "core values" are a sham and appears that some executives read a book on 'how to run a mission driven company' but skipped the chapter regarding authenticity.

Great career opportunity if management can get their act together

Very friendly and community-driven employees. Most of the people at the bottom stick together through the hard days.
|
Most days are grueling and all you're told to do is "keep working and hit your deadlines". My entire engineering group is run by an idiotic, greedy CTO that has put an incompetent layer of middle managers that don't care about their direct reports and only care about making their boss happy. The people who have "stepped out of line" and spoken up about these issues have been swiftly fired and escorted out of the building, which has created a culture of silence for fear of being fired on the spot. Management often talks about "needing more bodies" to do the work, like we are brainless monkeys that just fill seats. Our HR team is trying desperately to get people engaged, but when your entire life is spent giving updates in meetings to non-technical project managers and trying to fix 10-year-old codebases that look like a ball of spaghetti, there's only so much a "virtual happy hour" can do. Only join the company as a last resort and then immediately start applying for other jobs.

I have enjoyed my time at ParkMobile. When I joined we had a lot of improvements we needed to make. One thing I will say is ParkMobile realizes what it needs to improve and works to do that. You can't change everything overnight but it's nice to see that the company actually listens to what people want to see. ParkMobile revisited their PTO and made it unlimited this year and also revamped their parental leave policy making it way more generous.
If you work hard you really have the ability to leave your mark on this company. Every opportunity is what you make of it. I have had the chance to work on projects and grow in areas I never imagined. I feel like I've learned more here in a year than in my last jobs. If you are a driven person you will succeed here.

It's a fast-paced company and that can bring about rapid change in direction. Occasionally that can be discouraging when you've been working towards something and the direction is changed last minute. I think management needs to work on improving their communication towards the top down so that we don't waste time on projects we don't need. If we can learn to prioritize our time and put our energy where it needs to be we will be unstoppable.

- Most employees have the freedom to set their own schedules and work in a way that's most productive for them but many still work in the office because of the culture.
- Lots of opportunities for employees to get involved and make friends in other departments: various groups, events, parties, volunteer opportunities.
- Weekly happy hours
- Newly renovated office with private rooms for all employees to book time, 2 full kitchens, fully stocked snack rooms, beer/ cold brew/ kombucha on tap, espresso machines, swag provided.
