private:parkplaceinternational https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=747190 Jun 12th, 2018 12:00AM Open Open Park Place International Business Side of CloudWave San Antonio, TX Time for a modern review (business side of CloudWave) CloudWave is investing in business professionalism as much as it's investing in technology- this means great opportunities for IT people from all walks of life. This is a small community, it's much quieter than other hosting companies in the area and they really want customer-focused people who are relaxed but on point. The company is growing and it's getting more profitable year over year, the best part is the sense of humility from the President down to the local leaders- we are doing great work and no one is "chest thumping." I think the pay and benefits are very fair and I appreciate this company for hiring people from multiple age groups- culture fit and teamwork is the key. The company is expanding quickly and some of the tedious day-to-day activities like scattered documentation, evolving priorities and new products and partnerships- don't make your job easier, but these are minor challenges to accept to be part of an organization with good opportunities and tremendous admiration from our clients. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 747190 Open I really love the frequent "lunch and learns" - not for the free healthy lunches, but for knowledge sharing and the buy in it brings, I hope we continue to be an active family of team players. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 1.0 Mar 30th, 2021 05:33PM Mar 30th, 2021 05:33PM Park Place International Technology
private:parkplaceinternational https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=747190 Apr 19th, 2018 12:00AM Open Open Park Place International Marketing Graphic Designer Marlborough, MA Marketing and Design Intern The people at CloudWave are absolutely amazing. Not only are they your co-workers, but they also quickly become your friends. As the only person there trained in graphic design, there was a lot of responsibility in creating designs the way I thought they should look, which was really fun and rewarding. There is a life-saving coffee machine and a nice kitchen area so people can eat together. Good restaurants nearby. Free gym in the building (its small but it gets the job done). I was an intern for 2 summers in a row and loved it. Sometimes it can be a bit slow. As a designer and creative thinker, the healthcare technology field can be a bit drab when wanting to create bold designs. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 4.0 0.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 0.0 747190 Open Invest more in Marketing department. 0.0 [] INTERN No No 2.0 Mar 30th, 2021 05:33PM Mar 30th, 2021 05:33PM Park Place International Technology

private:parkplaceinternational https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=747190 Dec 22nd, 2017 12:00AM Open Open Park Place International 6 Months of Employment Unfortunate series of events Honesty with customers and Meditech. salary and benefits are terriffble. Leadership is constantly saying yes to each other and than doing the opposite. Focused on cash in the pockets of a few vs. the benefit of the teams that work there. Very clicky and discriminatory. They talk bad about people in front of other staff and make fun of employees and management. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 747190 Open disgraceful what has happened to a bright group of people who had an idea. private:parkplaceinternational https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=747190 Aug 3rd, 2017 12:00AM Open Open Park Place International San Antonio, TX Proceed with extreme caution..... Many smart people (managers, engineers and PM's) with a can-do attitude to get things done. Most people are helpful. A specialized business model that can potentially be very successful if managed correctly. A possibility that you could work remotely part or all of the time. Fairly casual atmosphere. Many teams are short staffed which leads to juggling more projects, meetings and troubleshooting sessions than one can realistically handle. Of course this leads to lots of night and weekend work with no viable end in sight. Incentives like raises and bonuses can be scarce or totally non-existent. The pay and benefits are ok but not great. There has been a slight uptick in turnovers lately. Some teams like the network team are especially volatile and have had two events in the last year alone where there was almost a complete turnover of the team each time. I would just avoid that team, period. Some old timers like the security director just left as well. Other folks here and there have went onto better paying jobs with more reasonable hours. Management won't or cant do much to support, retain or develop you. I have personally been asked by other organizations in town if there is something "going on" at CloudWave since several employers in the city have have been getting applications from several folks at CW. Based on a lack of understanding of how systems are built and maintained, some in management view certain teams to be more valuable to the company than others who are equally important. For example, it was overheard that a particular senior manager said that network guys were "a dime a dozen". Also, if you are based out of the MA office you will probably get a few extra stars over the TX crew just because you are at the "mother-ship." There is a communication and management disconnect between the TX and MA offices. There are lots of knee-jerk reactions and fire drills instead of more strategic and well thought out long term planning. Many of the tools used to manage the environment are also outdated or not efficient. The unlimited PTO thing can be a double edge sword since you technically don't accumulate any vacation hours. If you leave or get let go you will walk away with nothing.....so be sure to take PTO if you work here! It was observed that some folks don't seem to take much while others seemed to get several weeks every year. This also goes back to what team you are on and what the perceived value of that team is. You can easily get cross-ways with certain volatile people without even knowing it, and for no apparent reason. There are two sides to every story, and if you find yourself in this situation there is a good chance no one will ask you for your side of the story before they react. Many people at the company have worked with or known each other for many many years.....like 20+ years in many cases. If there is ever a witch-hunt perpetrated against you by the above said volatile people, just know that the old timers are completely immune and it will be the new kid on the block that gets burned at the steak. Some senior managers, specifically some out of the CTO's Office, have no formal management training or education and it's readily apparent. They build cliques instead of teams and seem to take pleasure in pitting cliques against each other. If you're not a member of the clique, they use demeaning and derogatory language, making the environment more of a college fraternity environment, instead of a professional workplace. Senior managers in San Antonio, who report directly to, the MA office, are so fearful of being terminated, they refuse to stand-up for their subordinates. It's a truly unfortunate situation, because although they are good people, they would rather jump when the task masters snap their fingers instead of ensuring an environment consistent with a balance of employee satisfaction, growth potential and mission accomplishment. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 5.0 1.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 747190 Open People, not equipment or technology are your biggest and best assets. private:parkplaceinternational https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=747190 May 30th, 2016 12:00AM Open Open Park Place International Senior Cloud Engineer Houston, TX Company has gone down hill Lots of interesting technologies to work on and team is very good group of people. Salary is okay not the best in the area and benefits are also just okay. Many leadership issues ,there is no communication and new technologies are introduced by the office of CTO without including engineers. Engineers are basically techs and are not given any real ability to contribute ideas or solutions. The environment is very stressful and fire-drills are very common. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 0.0 NO_OPINION 1.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 2.0 747190 Open Learn to listen to Employees and understand that people are the most important assets the company has, change the office of CTO and let engineers be engineers. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Mar 30th, 2021 05:33PM Mar 30th, 2021 05:33PM Park Place International Technology

Has great potential to become a solid multi-vendor support group. Good support staff. Alot of people who really what make the company work. Some of the best managers I've worked for in IT who support their people and understand technology VERY well. My peers are great people who are very smart and hard working. The company supports training and conferences - one each per year. Early there were late nights and some issues with technology implementation, but those have pretty much completely cleared. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 747190 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Mar 30th, 2021 05:33PM Mar 30th, 2021 05:33PM Park Place International Technology
