private:parksassociates https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=34363 Dec 23rd, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Parks Associates I really doubt the positive reviews are real. Unless they’re asking current employees to leave a positive review. They try to be accommodating. They want a larger market share of research publications. That’s great. But employee satisfaction should be a primary goal as well. The process in place for final product delivery is extremely convoluted and complicated. It is built to make the family head happy and feel relevant. Employee satisfaction is clearly a miss here. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL -1.0 DISAPPROVE 2.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 1.0 34363 Open The priority should be quality of the product, quality of work environment and most importantly employee relations. Family relations need to take a back seat. The current environment of working for a senior care home, where there is a need to placate the elderly, needs to change. The High employee turnover, especially in Sales and the Research team is a prime example of the result of a mis-managed work environment. Tricia has done her part for the firm, it is definitely beyond time for her to move on. If the company needs to move ahead with time, it is important to build on the current foundation. Employing Tricia pleasers will not get the job done. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 0.0 Mar 30th, 2021 05:59PM Mar 30th, 2021 05:59PM Parks Associates Industrials Support Services

So far my experience at Parks Associates has been wonderful. Even in these uncertain times, the company has been transparent with staff. I feel like my work and input are valued. Leadership is open to change and improvement and asks the team for any ideas on how to do things better with processes and product. Ideas are actually implemented and followed up on. Nothing to note right now. This is a smaller company so you must be good at time management and self-starting to excel in the environment. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 34363 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 1.0 Mar 30th, 2021 05:59PM Mar 30th, 2021 05:59PM Parks Associates Industrials Support Services

private:parksassociates https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=34363 Jul 25th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open Parks Associates Research Analyst Dallas, TX Terribly Run Family Company Some research topics are interesting, salary is competitive. Any review that cites working at Parks as overwhelmingly positive is obviously fake. I mean, seriously, what former employee would cite "loyal customers" in advice to management? To start off with, benefits at this company (including 401k, health insurance, PTO, etc.) are absolute garbage. They make you take PTO if you are sick or if you have doctor's appointments. You also have to sign out every single time you leave the office (even to pick up lunch) like you are a preschooler using the bathroom. Tricia's presence in the office is fleeting as she is trying to pass off the company to Elizabeth. However, she cannot seem to fully let go of the company and continues to insert many unnecessary or outdated ideas into the daily discourse, typically over the phone for meetings she doesn't bother attending. Employees are expected to work on Tricia's timetable at all times, even though she gives you zero heads up and will often have "emergencies" either late at night or on weekends. Even though these tasks can wait, she will frequently give some reason why it needs to be done immediately, with little regards for employees. This takes the form in questioning the employee's commitment to Parks and sometimes personal insults. Day to day operations are managed by Elizabeth, her daughter. Elizabeth thinks she is God's gift to market research (and will constantly cite her wealth of experience in the industry, even though she has only ever worked for her mom's company), but truly is incompetent at all facets of business. She insists on editing a lot of research reports, despite not being a subject matter expert in virtually anything or an accomplished writer. If her authority is ever questioned, she resorts to personal attacks. In over a year of employment, I witnessed numerous people get publicly reprimanded and humiliated, despite not doing anything wrong, or simply asking questions of Elizabeth. Additionally, it is patently obvious that she inflates revenue forecasts to present a false, positive trend for the company. It seems the only people who like her both as a boss or a person are related to her or know her from outside work. Elizabeth usually comes in late and leaves early, while insisting her employees work nights and weekends to meet arbitrary deadline. This is a workplace characterized by nepotism and unequal treatment, based on who is a favorite of the Parks family. Elizabeth truly makes Parks a miserable place to be day in and day out. Middle management is complacent in this, primarily because many of them have been at parks for a decade or more and feel they have other options. When non-management employees approach management with problems, they are fed a platitude and told "that's the way we do things here." If you are interviewing to work here and do not personally know the Parks family, I would encourage you to work elsewhere. There is virtually nothing good that comes of this job. When I left, one third of the company had turned over in the past year. None of the analysts who wrote research just a year ago were still employed. Half a dozen employees approached me before I left to let me know they were actively looking for jobs and asking for tips. I cannot think of a single person during my time there who was happy with their job. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 13.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 4.0 1.0 34363 Open Reexamine the entire business and consider restructuring. It is clear the current division of duties does not work, and is only made worse by the hubris and mistrust of the Parks family. Or squeeze the company for all the revenue possible and try to sell. This may be too far gone culturally. 0.0 [{"countHelpful": 0, "languageId": "eng", "userJobTitle": "President", "__typename": "EmployerResponse", "originalLanguageId": null, "id": 2250603, "responseDateTime": "2019-07-29T08:03:14.04", "translationMethod": null, "response": "There are so many untruths in this post its hard to even respond.
