Processes are not perfect but improving. Priorities change but are expected for a fast growing scale up. Within the first week of joining, salary range and sexual orientation have involuntarily made into office gossip by one competitive coworker who was onboarding me. home address (after signing up as customer) was also made into gossip. Some toxically envious and insecure people here, who are intimidated and directly or indirectly (through gossip) triggered by knowledge, competence, appearance, money, etc. and engaged in one-sided and persistent social strategies such as relational aggression, ostracism, imitation, false accusations, projecting, misrepresentation, smear campaign, and mobbing. All stages of workplace mobbing have occurred throughout and intensified after deciding to leave and searching for jobs. Apart from general aggression, attempts of firing and smear campaign, the instigator also showed up at venue near my home address. people who reported mobbing were coerced into silence and false narratives and new joiners were charmed and recruited into the mobbing. Harassment and slander on sexual orientation and personal life happened (overt or innuendo) during mobbing in the office, and after I already left the company, appeared to have continued into above venue and social life. Unfortunately, some of older reviews are still true. sickness and long-term absence can be found here and there in the company. Decent pay and holiday allowance. Good exposure to Amazon AWS. The 3 set days in the office policy can be too regimental. If a bank holiday falls on one of those set days you are expected to come in on one of the wfh days instead which does nothing but makes it difficult for everyone. It's a policy which does nothing but upset staff. The CEO drops the F word continually in company wide updates which is crass and unprofessional. He should really stop doing that. After being an employee for nearly four years, I have been supported on my career journey whole heartedly and have grown and developed with the help of team members. The opportunity for growth and development here is outstanding and the CEO and COO are committed to building a positive working environment and are invested in the development of their employees . I had a great experience going on maternity leave and was supported with flexible working requests. There is plenty of room here for growth and from my experience the management are doing everything they can to ensure they are supporting long term goals of the individuals in their team. Too much manual stuff involved that shouldn't need to be As it is, it's a very binary environment. Succeed you're loved, Stuff up in any way, it's held against you, from which recovery is difficult if not impossible. This is heightened because of a 'don't break my child attitude' leading to a tendency for people to withhold suggestions to improve the 'child'. Some C-Level are quite aggressive in their tone, which puts people on edge, an they are prone to dropping staff at the drop off a hat. Our new office has a very nice feel to it, people are very social and it feels like we have our own space. Feels like we're on a really good trajectory, things are improving all the time and we are encouraged to learn and grow. My favourite thing about Zilch is the people here, everyone is great at what they do and are very passionate and caring. I've built meaningful relationships with colleagues that I have worked with for years now. Having worked for competitors and similar businesses, I was approached by Zilch. It soon became apparent that they were not interested in hiring me, but mining me for sensitive information in which I refused or made up false info. Strangely, they thought I would just consult for free and breach confidentiality. If this company approaches you, I would swerve it post-haste. The morale in the team looked low, they openly admitted targets were astronomical and the business model is struggling. The ‘c-suite’ interviewer sounded out of ideas, out of his depth and desperate for any ideas I had to keep him in a job.
