Field support for various clients they service. Four hour minimum per call, for most assignments, some training for assignments is available, knowledgeable Engineers to call for support. When there is work is is for Banks, and Insurance companies, lots of printer work and PC, Laptop, imaging and decommissioning. Some general network, router and server work available. Low hourly rate, intermittent assignments, just not steady reliable work, no benefits. Lots of assignments rely on a bridge system you cal in and get directed to a room where another Engineer works with you to complete the assignment, verify a build is running correctly. Too low a census for support engineers in the rooms we need to talk to a body and there just is no one for us to talk with, take a number and wait. high turnover in core support techs it seems when we call in many different techs that I have worked with over the years hard to get an effective work relationship built when there is that high turnover aspect. Cleanup of Tech 1 work orders, if you can even rate them that high, they are then banned by the client from certain client sites for ineptitude, and then they once again call us the Tech II's , Tech III's, techs. It is a struggle for the End User clients they just see tech after tech show up, some with the required skill sets and others who are clueless, and no matter how many times they call and I say for example, yes I am available for all calls for such and such a client, they don't get it. They will call inexperienced techs send them out because they can pay them less and when they cannot reliably do the work, and have to re-dispatch then they call us and we have to clean up their mess. 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 0.0 NO_OPINION 0.0 4.0 3.0 3.0 2.0 2.0 4.0 1345870 Open Better communication between dispatch and field techs, it has gotten better over the years but still we rely on call backs and that can take unnecessary delays to complete jobs. Good job Easy, work at your own pace, and gain some field experience. You have to travel sometimes and they only reimburse you for a certain amount of miles. Your lead tech isn't always the same, so depending on who you get you might enjoy your time working there. However, I worked with a few already and it has been a 50\50 experience.
