Low pay for stressful work. Great CEO. CEO is a great guy. Yearly company retreat they will fly you to no matter your role at the company, all paid for. 1-hour paid lunch- combined with two 15-minute breaks you only work 6.5 hours a day. Great health insurance plan No HR department Blind leading the blind. No one is an expert in their role since it's mostly internal promotions. A pro for hiring from within but very few certified and trained co-workers can make this a con. Out of date platforms, long hand processes for simple tasks. CEO/owner who is accessible and approachable Leadership that listens to ideas for improvement Benefits and perks - the BEST I've ever had as an employee, bar none! Pay, very competitive and along w/benefits is top notch Culture is fun, motivational, and employees buy-in because of all the above * Could probably name a dozen or so more pro's but enough has been written to give others a very good picture of what a great organization this is - the CEO/owner recently flew in remote employees for an all-inclusive retreat so everyone could get to know one another outside of work; it was an amazing experience! Company grew fast, and as such has experienced growing pains that come with this type of rapid growth but on a daily basis make an effort to do everything possible in addressing issues/concerns while ensuring employees are provided the tools needed to succeed. Your CoWorkers are selected with you in mind. Everyone that's hired is friendly, talented and in it to see the company succeed. 2. The DT office with parking ( honestly you have to check it out) 3. Benefits, like insurance on day 1, gym membership, beer and liquor, monthly happy hours, unlimited snacks, non alcholic drinks, 1 hour paid lunches, stand up desks, you work feet away from the CEO and employees who have been with the company 10+ years, weekly lunches, anniversary lunch ( anywhere you want with 1 fellow employee and your supervisor, tuition help after 1 year, no dress code ( we are all adults), you're surrounded by tech toys ( hololenz for AR, Oculus for VR, Switch for gamers, Sonos for music) the 6th st 4th floor deck ( killers played recently), x amount of hours per pay period for paid time off, your bday off and much much more. 4. Biggest benefit so far is waking up with a smile, going in to the office and realizing it's 5 minutes until it's time to leave and that smile hasn't left your face. 5. They believe in moving employees up the ladder. If you understand what they are trying to do, if you execute and most importantly you don't fret when your coworker gets the promotion before you and you're happy for everyone, that's noticed. They have a way of putting the right people in the right dept. So if you're a go getter, a team player, you can expect your number to be called on when it's time to move into a different role. 6. Starting day 1, you have a voice for your ideas. they give you the ability to recommend processes or ideas. You'll get feedback each week from your direct supervisor about your ideas so believe me they will never go unnoticed. 7. Volunteer opportunities and the company has a great heart. Our office manager puts together volunteer opportunities that are voluntary but allows employees to give back on their own time. In addition they believe in helping other cities and matching donations from their employees. They give you a chance to feel good about yourself like with the ability to sponsor a child for the holidays ( they will sponsor an added child when you do). When the hurricane hit Texas, they give you the opportunity to donate and they match your donation. 8. Micro bonuses: You and your fellow coworkers are given x amount per month to give each other. 9. Happy hours at the ACL theatre, sky diving, retreats ( weekend long get away), casino nights, escape rooms, shows at Stubbs. It's hard to believe but yeah the CEO and office manager they really make you look forward to something each month. 10. They believe in you because you believed in them. 1. Everyone is talented. You may think when you get hired you are going to blow everyone away, but then you realize that everyone that got hired before and after you, they all have the same mentality and thoughts about the company and they are all team players and have a better resume. So you may not get that promotion you're fit for and you may go through that multiple times but you have to believe in their track record of putting the right people in the right position. 2. Everyone is required to fill out a weekly report to help contribute to the growth of the company, let leadership know of issues, suggestions, etc., which has never been the case at all my previous jobs. - Owner is a true visionary that is always thinking of ways to innovate which helps keep things fast paced, ever-changing and always interesting. - Due to constantly innovating as a company, there are constant growth opportunities for those that are highly engaged, productive, creative, and all around team-players. When bringing in call center agents, we're always looking for people that can not only excel in the call center role, but also take on new opportunities throughout their career here. A lot of positions throughout the years have been filled by people that started in the call center and were later promoted to take on new roles. - Top-notch benefits covered by the company, ie. medical, dental, vision, 401k, generous PTO (you even get your birthday off), gym membership and other office perks such as snacks, catered lunches, massages and more. - Latest and greatest technology when it comes to the systems that are used to perform day-to-day duties, ie. It's an open office to help promote collaboration and teamwork and stay away from the normal cubicle style office that a lot of people dread. - Due to constant growth and innovation and the fact that we run lean as a company by heavily using technology and automation, it can be challenging to keep up with new products and features at times for some. - In the call center, metrics that agents need to adhere to aren't totally locked in yet, making it difficult to gauge true productivity and overall success of a call center agent. Things are in the works to improve this in the near future, but it can be a challenge to those that are highly results-focused and competitive. - Our call center is not your typical one, so providing and maintaining a comprehensive "procedure guide" has always been a challenge. We try to hire candidates that are great at problem-solving and empower them to use judgement in a lot of cases which can lead to confusion about how to handle certain situations. Leadership is also expected to all use their best judgement for non black and white situations, so there can be varying answers provided by different members of leadership as there can be a number of paths to take to achieve the result we aim to get which is providing an awesome experience to our customers. - To keep innovating, we have to do an incredible amount of updates to our systems. Having a lean team can sometimes lead to lower priority bug fixes to be placed on the back-burner for a bit while we prioritize higher-priority development needs.
