Happy to work at Penn
|
I love working for Penn. Started out as a Medical Assistant, and thru Penn was able to advance and secure a role as a LPN. My school loans were paid in full by Penn. I work for very nice and respectable physicians. Coworkers are like any other coworkers...own personality. Benefits are great , great policies, raises, bonuses. My start pay for an LPN went above every other organization that i heard from other people. I can honestly not say anything bad. Working in a healthcare setting i expect certain things like different personalities different ways people work and just accept it. I wouldnt change my job for anything. I enjoy my job and the doctors i work for.
|
Respectful MDs, benefits, school benefits, bonuses, great policies and payrates.

Great mission, great and talented people
|
People are very dedicated to their work and mission of the company. However, it's difficult to grow and there is no career framework or path on how to grow. Can be pretty intense and very fast paced.

Exciting place to work
|
I started out with a temp agency as temperature screener in July 2020. I applied to many inside jobs at Penn before I became a temp worker. I was hired as a MA and The process was so easy and painless. Had my virtual interview in October 2020 and was working by NOVEMBER 2020. I love my job I meet new people everyday and I have the best co workers.

The people
|
working at HUP felt like a family. I enjoyed learning and developing life long friendships. There is plenty of opportunities for advancement. They pay for part of your tuition. When I worked there, management was a little top heavy, but we managed to perform our duties to the fullest.

working with people who take pride in their work.

Good pay, toxic environment
|
I enjoyed what I did as a pharmacy technician at Pennsylvania Hospital outside of the pharmacy, but prepare to be micromanaged unless you suck up to management (buy them lunch and starbucks daily). Management will overlook bullying and laziness if you "take care" of them. Hard working employees will feel the stress of picking up the slack from bad co-workers. It's unfortunate that the department is so poorly managed. It has the potential to be a great place to work.

Cake almost every week, good pay

Micromanage, poor management

We were like a family. People looked out after each other.
|
I always refer to University of Pennsylvania as my home. I loved it! I would try my best to do the best I could for my company. I loved my bosses. There were also new challenges every day that we had to meet. There were quoters that had to be meet every day.

The less mistakes you make a month you would be rewarded with different perks.ent

Busy, some room for growth
|
I worked in the Human Resources depts for 18 years. I started out as a Receptionist in Staffing&Recruitment, then Secretary in Workers' Compensation dept, later in the Disability Management Dept. Some room for growth in this organization.

Staff is very supportive of each other. Self-scheduling is an added benefit and offers flexibility. Room for advancement. Management is ok but could be better
