Our CEO, Jay Penske Great staff Thoughtful policies There are no cons that come to mind other than I would love to see more work from home flexibility after the situation with Covid improves. I feel more productive and less stressed without a daily commute. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 472810 Open Consider at least a partial work from home policy for those employees who are able to do their jobs successfully from home. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 9.0 Mar 31st, 2021 08:43PM Mar 31st, 2021 08:43PM Penske Media Corporation

private:penskemediacorporation https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=472810 Mar 10th, 2021 12:00AM Open Open Penske Media Editorial What’s the vision for these brands? Kept my job and salary during COVID (sad that this is the bar) Some of the newer corporate hires are nice Heard the offices are nice All these 5 star reviews from current employees seems a bit sus. Our brands were bought by Penske last year and while they gave great lip service about being digitally-focused forward thinkers, corporate actions were contradictory. They cut people resources to increase margins. They run their teams lean and often with junior staff to save money. There seems to be little investment in digital teams despite so much business coming from online. Leadership is weak when it comes to vision and future plans. They lack actionable plans. During restructures, it was noticeable how many white males were given promotions vs others in the company, despite experience and qualifications. It was disappointing to watch years of work undone under Penske. Staff members across brand are concerned with PMC buying all the entertainment trades. That limits their ability to move around if they want to leave the company. While they run the brands in silos, it’s a small industry and people talk. Many people are unhappy but feel stuck due to dwindling competition and the pandemic economy. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 1.0 2.0 1.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 472810 Open Resource teams properly. People are overworked and undervalued. Invest in digital like you said. Outline and share business plans. Give people goals. No one knows how to measure success. Hire leaders who understand how to run brands. Editorial leadership doesn't understand marketing and sales. Sales leaders don't understand digital and then they don't work together enough to feel like a strong team guiding the ship. There's a lot of holes to fix and when people point it out and offer solutions, they are ignored. Feels like you're not trying to grow businesses, just buy them and deconstruct them. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 1.0 Mar 31st, 2021 08:43PM Mar 31st, 2021 08:43PM Penske Media Corporation
private:penskemediacorporation https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=472810 Mar 5th, 2021 12:00AM Open Open Penske Media Marketing Specialist Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, North Rhine-Westphalia Fun for a while...but seems off course now. A growing media company...a rarity these days. Some iconic brands. Great coworkers and teammates - made the long hours and High-five meetings a lot more bearable. It was great for the first year after acquisition - we were the shiny new toy. The honeymoon faded after that year. Completely disorganized structure. Each brand seems to operate in a complete silo - I never knew what the other brands were up to even if we worked on the same floor. "Corporate" is rarely in person in NY - they seem like the almighty Oz. Never to be seen but all powerful. The company tells us about how profitable PMC is during town halls...yet benefits are marginal at best. We just got 401k matching and it's a paltry 1%. A company who espouses the importance of independent journalism...and then takes money from Saudi Arabia. HR. Is their only role to play bowling and Halloween parties? Maybe a process for employee reviews would be better use of time? -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL -1.0 DISAPPROVE 1.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 472810 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 0.0 Mar 31st, 2021 08:43PM Mar 31st, 2021 08:43PM Penske Media Corporation

private:penskemediacorporation https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=472810 Feb 24th, 2021 12:00AM Open Open Penske Media Full Stack Engineer Great company to work for with a few blind spots - My salary is great, benefits are competitive. - I had the freedom to go completely remote after being there about a year. PMC has employees all over the world with two main offices in NYC and LA and are very flexible about moving. - PMC is diverse and getting more diverse. they have the highest number of women in leadership roles I've ever seen at any company. I am hispanic and there is a larger-than-many-companies share of minority groups here. They are actively trying to up that number with qualified candidates as well. -Retention is good, and during the pandemic they didn't do any layoffs or pay cuts. They actually raised everyone below 50k up to 50k and I personally got my yearly scheduled raise. -PMC owns a lot of cool brands: Rolling Stone, Variety, Billboard to name a few. -Big focus on mental health. - I like the executive staff. -Depending on which brand you work on, you can end up becoming isolated from the company at large. The brand I work with has a very different culture than the company at large and while I love PMC, being siloed in this brand might result in me leaving the company when I otherwise wouldn't have. -They can be a little too stingy with resources sometimes. I recognize that its a balancing act between profitability and spending. It's one thing to ask someone to do the job of two people (which they often do), I've seen people doing the work of 3-4 people. -With some of these brands the deadlines can be insane and with the lack of resources it can be a lot of pressure and burnout. So while they focus on the mental health, there are contradictory messages at times. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 4.0 4.0 3.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 472810 Open Engineering should be more generically PMC, avoid siloing people to one brand. And IF you absolutely have to silo people to one brand, take the time to ensure that the culture and values of that brand line up with PMC's culture and values. Couple bad culture with low resourced teams and longevity will suffer and much of the work you do to improve the overall culture will be wasted. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Mar 31st, 2021 08:43PM Mar 31st, 2021 08:43PM Penske Media Corporation
private:penskemediacorporation https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=472810 Feb 24th, 2021 12:00AM Open Open Penske Media New York, NY One of the best in media CEO truly cares for employees. Awesome benefits and PTO. If you want to be part of an ever-growing media company PMC is a great place to be a part of. There is no formal “review” process which is perplexing, especially for a media company that’s constantly bullish and growing. Also a disconnect on when big changes will be implemented. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 4.0 3.0 4.0 4.0 5.0 3.0 472810 Open Set up a formal review process for all employees. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Mar 31st, 2021 08:43PM Mar 31st, 2021 08:43PM Penske Media Corporation

The talent is second to none and I learn something new everyday. There is a palpable energy and passion for the work being done. The company is also highly philanthropic and dedicated to working on the things that need improvement.
