In the past 6 months the Toronto team has lost another 2 great reps. It is a shame that they cannot retain good people. It is a constant!! turnover of reps in Toronto due to management. It is a different store in Calgary since the Calgary Sales Manager is both a people person and has respect for the people who report to him.

There is no pros to working here other than making good friends. The employee culture however makes employees pit against another.

Cranky management, almost every department employees walk on eggshells. They like to take advantage of employees good nature and are very manipulative. Management is always secretly fighting with another and using the employees as pawns to fight their petty battles. They describe themselves as a wide company in organizational structure. That means zero chance at promotion. I worked there for under two years and I saw the average new hire last 2 to 3 months my department would have our midlevel positions turn over constantly.

Business Development Coordinator was a truly awful & depressing experience

Some of the people in the other teams (HR & Administration were lovely)
|
Onboarding team (consisting of 3 Business Development Consultsnts & 3 Team Leads) are neither accommodating nor friendly and will not provide any support in your first couple months on the job. As much as you try your best to prove you are motivated to succeed in the role, you will be an outcast if you don’t meet their criteria of things they look for when they hire a newbie. It’s no surprises there is a high turnover in this specific role.
There is no room for the smallest mistakes and the “training” was not helpful nor helps you retain the information. You WILL be let go if you do not have a firm understanding of their procedures and processes within a couple months.
They pride themselves on some sort deluded “family culture” values and like they genuinely care about their employees, however this is not the case and it is more of a “survival of the fittest” and highly “favouritism” type of work environment. Truly the worst place I have ever worked.
Be cautious in choosing employment here.

Senior Management - lacked experience, education and lived in mortal fear for their jobs as the company is privately owned by a despot. Employees pay for parking in a lot owned by the company. As a BDR impossible to sell the suite of services as it was sold as a package and clients that did not need full payroll/hr support/wcb management/benefits package could not buy only what they wanted - huge miss! Lack of understanding by management regarding their true customer opportunities and where focus should be - much more interested in micro-managing and time-clocking their staff - you know, the important things in life!! Really no opportunity for advancement as the company is large enough to have approx 80 EE's but run on about 5 low-level team leads. And if you are looking at a sales position be warned -- they are so valued by this company that their offices are in the windowless basement of the building - cold, dark and dreary -- not exactly the upbeat and stimulating environment a sales rep needs! And no working from home --- CFO is terrified of an IT Security breach!!

You are lucky to have your 6-figure salaries and you know it. It is too bad PEO is just a training ground for staff who, once they have a decent # of years/experience on their resumes just wait for RSP match payout and leave. If you really care about staff engagement then it will take more than an annual Stampede Breakfast and Christmas Party.
