The lack of communication between multiple parties within the company made the job harder than necessary. The cross training that was given was an absolute plus during the time I spent working for them. Having learned a lot of valuable skills that can be used in other trades/jobs. Towards the end the way things were handled was incredibly unprofessional. It was a work life balance and I never had issues with PTO and sick days. It is a company that has a lot of potential, but does not have a culture and upper management have no idea of the importance to care for their employees well being. This organization is able to make significant changes, but they need to built a culture and train their employees and leaders to be part of it. Upper management has no clue as how the field works. Hardest part of my job was having to work with people that were all talk, they are the ones that would just show up to make sure they will get the check on Friday and produce nothing all week. We did not complete jobs per specs because the Company could not provide the material required. Purchases took 2-4 hours just to get a box of screws. Promises that things would get better, the constant denial of the fact that the Company did not have the means to deliver. Management fails to take responsibility for Estimations. There is a constant atmosphere of everything is the Job Superintendents fault. Budgets, lack of equipment and tools, job time frames, and lack of crews make this place a very difficult place to work. Stability is grey at best... this is not a long term Company, at least it was not when I was there. Due Disrespectful to the minority, racial slurs tossed around with no care. Trucks are worthless. A bad abuse of power, ignorance on a whole new level. A "Supervisor made movement" in a toilet wiped his backside with rags and left them on the floor to prove a point. And didn't flush either I have picture to prove it. What I learned was how to better take care of clients and fulfill their needs to the best extent. Management did their best to try to fulfill our customers needs without sacrificing their project completion timelines. My managers were always so flexible with me and very trustworthy. They always had my back and were willing to stick there neck out for me. The workplace culture is young a diverse which made the workday fun! Hardest part about this job is having to constantly work weekends and when you have family, you sacrifice a lot of time away from them.
