private:pexcard https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1145157 May 15th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open PEX Sales Great company but little guidance -A great working product that is user friendly for any age or industry. Mobile app and desktop friendly. -Awesome benefits with potential for great pay. -Immediately set up for success by the VP of Sales who helps you steadily create a healthy book of business. Leads are provided and he is always willing to help. His mentorship has helped guide to a successful career in payments. -Client success team was always willing to help the Enterprise team succeed while helping up sell knowing they are not making any commissions. -Travel to events and conferences to develop working relationships with top professionals. -Ability to be trusted and work remotely without being micromanaged. -No competition amongst the sales team. They all work together to close deals and have always had a great relationship with one another. -Monday stand up meetings with the entire company to learn about progression and updates throughout each department. -Great reviews from clients and partners. -I truly believe they solve a real problem that organizations face on a day to day basis and will always recommend their company. -The product team is not qualified to be in the positions they are in and the VP of Engineering is the only one holding this team together in terms of adding new functionality. -2 1/2 full years were wasted due to the company being a 1 man show by the ex CGO who treated employees like they were his children. It took half of the company (top, hardworking professionals) to quit before he was removed. He stunted career growth and that should bother the company. -You are not valued by upper management and are just a number. They will not help you succeed. Consistently need to ask for partnership agreements, and contracts only for it to never happen. -They rarely put client and internal department recommendations into action, and only consider the opinions of a select few which results in clients signing up with competitors. -Material needed to present to potential clients is essentially non-existent and is created on an as-needed basis if time persists. -"HR" is barely existent even though they reply to Glassdoor reviews saying that they will continue to take employees opinions and considerations more seriously. That is not true. - NO CFO at a Fintech company... they have a finance executive who is basically a school principal, with absolutely zero physical presence, even for company events. Her secretary is in the office daily. EVERY single one of these concerns was voiced over a period of years and was done so because we as sales executives believe in the company. Nothing was ever done. 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 0.0 NO_OPINION 3.0 4.0 4.0 3.0 3.0 4.0 3.0 1145157 Open -Provide your employees with the same respect, effort, and loyalty that they provide you. The sales team is not respected by management and it's evident they believe sales can be automated, which it can't. -Attempting to give your former employees a 1-year non-compete, especially when they did not choose to leave the company is beyond unacceptable. -Develop a few specific key goals and stick with them. The mission and product development should not change based on the client who is signing up that day. -Find qualified individuals to work with engineering to update the product consistently in order to compete with competitors. -Hire a customer service team that answers calls and not rerouted to another country. -Management should stop altering the commission structure so often. Its conveniently done when larger deals are closed. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 6.0 Apr 1st, 2021 04:51PM Apr 1st, 2021 04:51PM PEX Card Financials General Financial

private:pexcard https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1145157 Oct 18th, 2018 12:00AM Open Open PEX PEX - Pros and Cons In my brief time working for PEX there was a lot of good and some bad. The people in my department (Sales) were amazing to work with on a daily basis. As a company, lunch was provided once a week on Thursday which gave everyone a chance to mingle with other departments. It gave you insight and perspective of things going on internally for the service. The bi-monthly happy hours were a lot of fun and gave us a chance to learn about our colleagues on a personal level. The service we sold was great but could use better features that were requested by sales repeatedly to get built. My VP of sales was one of the best I've had, and is a true leader. He was approachable, coached me when I needed it, and made the day to day exciting to be at PEX. He truly believed in the sales team and fought for us to succeed. Our teams success was stunted, however, by the company’s CGO. The CGO fails to make quick decisions that turn into a drawn-out process to where deadlines are missed for producing client requested information. It also became very evident, not to pay attention to general product deadlines provided because they were just going to be pushed out with no real consequences, it becomes uncomfortable making empty promises on a daily basis when there such a lack of accountability in other departments that continue to push out deadlines or ignore them all together . Then there were pay cuts that resulted in decreased team morale. Still the CGO increased sales quotas and KPIs to truly arguably unattainable levels, while handcuffing the commission structure. If PEX wants to survive they need to replace the CGO or devise an ACTUAL plan for attainable growth via committee. PEX also failed to hire from within for major managerial roles outside of sales. For those stepping into those roles, they are far behind the learning curve and tend to have no leadership ability which resulted in the sales process slowing down. I do want to also point out that I visited the HR office on numerous occasions only to be turned away. This led to extreme frustration. Overall the company has a lot of potential but the lack of leadership and action outside of the sales department was very concerning which ultimately led to me leaving PEX. This is certainly not a personal grudge, just an honest opinion regarding the future success of the company and I want people to understand the thought and time put into this review as well as the effort put forth on a daily basis during my time with PEX. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 6.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 1145157 Open 0.0 [{"countHelpful": 0, "languageId": "eng", "userJobTitle": "HR Manager", "__typename": "EmployerResponse", "originalLanguageId": null, "id": 1890791, "responseDateTime": "2018-11-23T10:01:18.323", "translationMethod": null, "response": "Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. It is encouraging when that happens so we can continue to improve the experiences our team members have at PEX.\r\n\r\nRegrettably the concerns written in this review were not communicated during employment. Had they been, the management team would have taken them seriously and would have worked to understand all the details in an objective two-way dialog. We are always working on improving our company culture. However it is difficult for us to know what is being felt or experienced if issues are not voiced. Additionally, PEX employees have never experienced pay cuts as we always provide competitive compensation that is complemented with comprehensive benefits. In this case, it appears you had a bad experience - for that we apologize.
