I enjoyed working here for many years, the students were great.
|
Pay was not competitive, especially compared to other low ses schools in the valley. Ineffective principals were not given guidance, nor removed from their positions even when it became clear they were not fit for the job.

Magnet has full time instructional assistance in every classroom. Edison has an amazing principal. Health insurance.

I worked there for 11 years starting at 31,000 and never made over $40,000. The district recruits out of state many teacher leave on year 5. The district hires back it's retired teachers and many make the same as a full time new teacher. The teachers are all new (0-5 years experience) or really old (20+)

Put teachers first. Stop basing raises on student test scores. Dispute your continued efforts at making it fair it just isn't. Students a lower income schools that come in less affluent are harder to teach than others. The out sourced observers are all different and don't grade the same.
